Hosted every year by A1 Sports Report, a total of 48 teams converged on the Palmetto State's Midlands for two days of thrilling basketball. The teams were sorted into 12 brackets of four and two 5A schools with multiple gyms were utilized for this year's version in White Knoll and Lexington.

Tiller had a bit of a slow start to her game as her 2A Eau Claire assembling matched up against co-host 5A Lexington. Eventually, one had to believe Tiller would look like herself and she did. Even though the Shamrocks were on the losing end of a 63-39 decision to the Wildcats, Tiller did everything she could by virtue of the 23 points she placed on the scoreboard. She is not shy about attempting 3-pointers but will throw defenses for a loop by also attacking the rim. When she is near the basket, she will either go hard to the cup or connect on a floater. Tiller also understands drawing contact and getting to the free throw line.

Stratford's matchup with another 5A team in Eastside did not go as planned for the Knights. The team was on the receiving end of a 36-35 decision, but Mustapher still kept her team in the contest from start to finish. Mustapher scored 20 points. The bread and butter of what she gets accomplished is from behind the 3-point line – she drained three of the team's four successful attempts from downtown. She also displayed that she will throw defenses for a loop by slicing through defenses and finishing strong at the basket. Mustapher is an efficient floor runner with plenty of speed and she efficiently combines her skillset with veteran instincts.

Cebula is a familiar name to us at Prep Girls Hoops as we recently saw her and her 4A Richland Northeast team claim victory at the Green Division of the GRAD Athletics Thankgiving Tournament at Heathwood Hall. The Cavaliers may not have fared as well on Friday at She Got Next against former region rival 5A Irmo but Cebula continued to give her team a strong interior presence. She scored 16 points which led all point-getters for the Cavaliers. And with her height, one can expect Cebula to not only win rebounding battles for her team but also prevent second-chance opportunities for the opposition.

Bethea's 3A Marlboro County team entered its morning matchup with defending SCISA 1A champion Cross Schools at a disadvantage in the form of only having five available players. With no bench, it limited what the Bulldogs could do defensively. Bethea still showed herself to be a bright spot on what was a rough morning at the office for Marlboro County. She did score 13 points which led all Bulldogs point-getters. Bethea displayed that she can be accurate from 3-point range and can make plays in relatively close proximity to the rim as well. She is only a freshman so fearless attitude will gain her more victories as her game continues to evolve and develop.

In a battle of 4A teams, Madison's Midland Valley team nearly pulled off a miraculous comeback against Greer. Madison led all Mustangs point-getters with nine in what was a defensively minded contest with the Yellow Jackets, but a good bit of Madison's plays occurred with the game on the line. Not only did she come through on offense but she provided plenty of defense which kept Midland Valley's hopes of a win alive. Madison previously played on the junior varsity team at Midland Valley, but performances like what she had on Friday are why she has elevated to Mustangs varsity status.
