Peyton McElree of North Fayette Valley is someone that we haven't mentioned prior to this moment but she is slowly showing everyone that she is a solid competitor with her North Fayette Valley High School team. McElree, a 5'8 SG, helped last night by leading her team with 15 Points on 7-10 shooting, including going 1-2 from three point line. McElree might not start for her Varsity squad but that's okay. She is obviously coming into the contest and taking things over at a high rate. Something that as a coach, you can't really plan for but it is definitely nice to have. With anyone from this Class, progression is key as it is still early on but I do like what I've seen so far out of McElree.

The IC - Liberty Lightning fell on Tuesday evening but that didn't stop [player_tooltip player_id='837358' first='Natalie' last='Ramsey'] from doing her thing and putting up a noteworthy stat-line of 29 Points and 6 Rebounds. Ramsey, is a D1 commit, a superior athlete to a lot of others her age with height, she is tough, and she has a silky jumper. The Lightning have a few ballers but if they want to win when it matters this Winter, Ramsey is the main piece to their puzzle. They may of fallen short in this contest but that won't always be the case. They just need to continue to keep working and then they should like the way things will continue to trend.

The CR - Jefferson JHawks got a W on Tuesday night in a cross town rivalry against Linn Mar High School. In this contest, the PF/C for Jefferson, [player_tooltip player_id='642075' first='Lillie' last='Spicer'] had quite the evening. She capped things off with 26 Points on 8-24 shooting, including going 10-16 from the free throw line. She also recorded a double-double in her efforts, grabbing 22 Rebounds throughout the contest. This is definitely one of the more impressive stat lines we have seen so far across the state this Winter but it doesn't shock me. Spicer is a handful down low and when she has time within a 1v1 matchup, it usually doesn't end too well for the opponent. Hopefully this performance will kick start this team in a sense and show some of their upcoming competitors that they are going to be a tough group to beat on any given night.

East Sac County recorded their first loss of the season on Tuesday by a small margin of defeat. In this contest, SG - [player_tooltip player_id='1106023' first='Makenna' last='Steiger'], had a very solid outing. Her stat line finished up with 22 Points on 7-12 shooting, including 6-8 from behind the three point line. Steiger was on fire from deep from start to finish here but she also leads her team in APG. So when you account for both of those things and the fact that her crew is 2-1, you see the promise. It'll be interesting if East Sac can keep this up this Winter but if they do, I'm sure that a major reason for that will be because of Steiger and her production across all sorts of positive statistical categories.

Sydney Kapayou is the leading scorer of Marshalltown High School currently and every night that they take the floor, she demonstrates how she is a versatile weapon at the Varsity level. The Bobcats locked in another win on Tuesday nigh to kick off their 2024-2025 season at 4-1. Kapayou finished with a game high 14 Points while shooting 50% from the floor and 75% from distance. The great thing about the Bobcats' system is that they have several different prospects that do several different jobs. This Winter it seems like Sydney's job will be to make things happen offensively, while also doing a little bit of everything else she can in the Steals, Rebounds, Assists, and Blocks department. If she competes with an edge like she did yesterday, she is going to love the way that her Senior season comes to a close.

[player_tooltip player_id='920716' first='Bentley' last='Dill'] helped the CR - Kennedy Cougars to a W last night with her 21 Point performance on the offensive end. Dill's stat-line was something along the lines of 21 Points (7-18), 3-9 from three, 4-4 from the charity stripe, along with 8 Rebounds, 8 Steals, and 6 Assists. For a prospect out of the 2028 Class, this is one of the better stat lines that we have seen so far. I don't want put too much pressure on anyone but I think this is a line that is achievable almost every night for someone like Dill. Her shooting ability can carry her to a lot of places. She just needs to continue to work in her team's system and the rest could be history.

The Boyer Valley Bulldogs weren't able to lock up a Victory last night, falling just short of that by a final of 48-51. Throughout this one was a battle. Both team's had leads at one point but in the end, the Bulldogs fell. It's not all bad news though. This performance showed that this roster has some solid ball players, a better than average coaching staff, and a lot of heart. Someone for this group out of the 2026 Class, that impressed me in the end was Forward - [player_tooltip player_id='1106028' first='Sylvia' last='Sullivan']. Sullivan only stands at 5'9 but she is relentless worker for the basketball, a positive influence to those around her, and she has a high motor on both ends. She ended up registering 17 Rebounds, along with some other positive statistics. If she can keep doing this elite job of grabbing 10-15 boards a game, it'll be recognized all season long. It's not something I exactly expect but after seeing last night, it may be possible.

28 Points (11-15), 2-3 from three, 4-4 FT, 8 Rebounds, and 5 Steals. This was what Quinn Vice did on the hardwood against Davenport Central in her last contest. Vice, the Drake Women's Basketball commit, is a 6'3 beast that could really turn into a polished product at the Division-1 level with the correct guidance. Lately she has been very good per usual but in the next few years, I think she steps it up even more to really be a contributor with the Bulldogs. Her length, athletic ability, and smarts helps her do well on a consistent basis and that's going to have to keep up if they want to make a major push come Playoff time.
