Week 4 (Dec 9th-14th) 2028 Standout performances

As we approach the halfway mark of the 2024-2025 season, teams are beginning to hit their stride and rhythm, with competition intensifying week by week. Here, we showcase some of the top performances from the Class of 2028 during the week of December 9th–14th.    [player_tooltip player_id='1235692' first='Milaya' last='Chapman'] has the skills and work ethic to become not only one of the best players in her area but also one of the best in the state. Chapman possesses excellent handles, allowing her to get anywhere she wants on the court. Her ability to stay low on her crossover and use a push cross creates space and opens up the floor, as she consistently keeps her head up, looking for open teammates.   However, she's also a proven scorer. One of her best scoring attributes is her ability to use her handles and craftiness to penetrate the defense and find creative ways to finish in the paint. Another standout aspect of her game is her ability to push the ball out in front of her in transition—an often-overlooked skill that she executes beautifully.   On December 13th against Wharton, Milaya put up an impressive 24 points and recorded 4 steals. She is currently averaging 18.1 points per game, 2.6 assists, and 3.9 steals per game. [player_tooltip player_id='1229156' first='Shaw' last='Summer'] is making a huge impact as a freshman, playing significant minutes and currently averaging a double-double with 15.6 points and 12.3 rebounds per game. But that's not all—she's also averaging 3.8 blocks, 2.9 steals, and 3.6 assists per game, while shooting an impressive 77% from the free-throw line, making her almost automatic at the charity stripe. Shaw is proving she can impact the game in every way on the court.   Her dominance was on full display on December 11th against Gibbs, where she scored 20 points, went 6-for-7 from the free-throw line, grabbed 15 rebounds, and recorded 7 steals.   Shaw continues to grow more confident and skilled with every game she plays. By next season, she's sure to be a well-known name.     [player_tooltip player_id='646515' first='Zoey' last='Brown'] put on an impressive performance on December 14th against a veteran, athletic, and fast Lakewood team, finishing with 19 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, and 5 steals—as a FRESHMAN.   Zoey plays low and grounded with the ball, showcasing excellent control. She uses two to three moves to attack her matchup and get to her spot, whether it's for a pull-up jumper or finishing at the rim. She's equally adept at finishing with either hand and can make some impressive off-hand finishes. With the ball seemingly on a string, she has the ability to change direction effortlessly and use creative moves to split double teams.   One of the most exciting aspects of her game is her passing—not just because of the impressive no-look and pinpoint dimes she delivers, but also because of her joy in seeing her teammates score. Her enthusiasm highlights her unselfishness and makes her a fantastic teammate.   Zoey is currently averaging 14.5 points per game and an incredible 6.4 assists per game, contributing to a massive number of points through her play. Zoey is truly a must-see player, and it won't be long before everyone knows her name.     [player_tooltip player_id='727591' first='Jaiden' last='Peterson'] is a smooth player with undeniable swagger. On December 11th against Wekiva, Jaiden put up 13 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and 6 steals, proving she's a stat-sheet stuffer every time she steps on the floor.   Peterson not only has some of the best handles in her class but arguably the best in the state—period. Her ability to execute a between-the-legs crossover while driving downhill is remarkable. Pair that with her deadly hesitation move, which gets defenders off their feet, and her speed, which she uses as a weapon to blow by opponents, it's pure poetry in motion.   What makes her even more special is her ability to combine these skills into a complete package as a three-level scorer. With a ceiling higher than most can imagine, Jaiden is currently averaging 12.2 points per game, shooting 43% from the field, while adding 3.6 assists and 3.2 steals per game.   Peterson is on the rise and will soon be recognized as one of the premier players in Florida.     [player_tooltip player_id='1213565' first='Sakura' last='Barnes'] may be a freshman on paper, but she plays with the experience and confidence of a senior. On December 10th against Miami Christian, Sakura recorded 11 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, and 5 steals—a solid performance, though her season high is 25 points.   Sakura possesses all the tools to become one of the top players in the state. Defensively, she is a ball hawk, with excellent timing to break for the ball and force turnovers. Offensively, what stands out is her fearless approach to attacking the rim. She thrives on physicality, and because she attacks so aggressively, she forces defenses to collapse, opening up opportunities for her teammates. With her great court vision, she consistently delivers dimes to set them up for easy baskets. On top of that, Sakura can shoot at a high percentage, making her a well-rounded offensive threat.
