[player_tooltip player_id='329351' first='Brihanna' last='Crittendon'] is a name to know if you don't already. Crittendon is the #1 rated prospect out of the 2026 Class in Colorado and the #10 overall ranked prospect in the Country for her Class according to ESPNW. Crittendon is a SF with great size, athletic ability, and skill set. She is a monster with her back to the basket in the post but she also has some agile movement to her game. She has the ability to be bruiser and go through her opponent if they stand in the way or she can use a crafty skill move to get around someone if they try to outmuscle her. Defensively, her mixture of length and ability makes her into a rim protector in the lane. This was by far the best prospect I saw all day at this event. Her potential is truly next level and I'm excited to watch her journey from here on out.

[player_tooltip player_id='766569' first='Ashley' last='Bauer'] had a respectable weekend in her team's contest against Centura on Saturday. Bauer, a 5'7 SG, is someone that can do a little bit of everything when she is on the floor. Offensively, she is someone that primarily plays off of the ball, she is willing to post up smaller opponents that may switch onto her, and she has a silky smooth jumper when she decides to let it go from all over. Not to mention, when the opposing team happens to press, Bauer plays in the middle of their press break. Debatably at the most important spot. Elm Creek has some pieces that know what's up and their record on the year reflects that. At this pace, they will have a good chance to get to the State Tournament but really only time will tell if that becomes reality.

I was not familiar with [player_tooltip player_id='1137463' first='Claire' last='Knuth']'s game prior to this weekend but she came into this event and had a respectable showing to say the least. Knuth competes at the SF position and tries to handle her opponent within 15FT of the basket. She does have the ability to pop out and screen at the perimeter but from there she rolls to the rim or midrange for a look closer to the hoop. She seems to look for physical play as well, no matter where she is at and she follows that up with a fundamental free throw form, that usually goes in. There is a lot to like about Knuth at this point. She is young in her career and she could definitely become someone to know moving forward from a state-wide perspective.

I am a BIG fan of [player_tooltip player_id='1137495' first='Reagan' last='Stengel'] and what she brings to the court for her team at the PG poison. Stengel demonstrated on Saturday that she can control her team's action on both sides of the floor, she can make elite passes with either hand, she understands speed changes on the offensive side of things, and she communicates really well with others. Maywood/Hayes Center is putting together a season to remember and a huge part of that is due to the leadership/play of Stengel. You can tell by just watching her for one contest with her Varsity squad.

When you are looking for an ideal PG, you are looking for someone that can control the pace of the game, along with someone that can make the others around themselves better in every aspect. [player_tooltip player_id='757579' first='Emerson' last='Timm'] of Arlington High School seems to do that every time she takes the Varsity floor. Timm was a constant in her teams effort against Sidney High School on Saturday morning. In the end, she put up good numbers but this game was more than that if you had a chance to watch it. Timm just made things happen. She controlled the pace of play, showed up defensively as a communicator, and she truly understood every situation that unfolded in front of her in real time. This was a solid showing overall and I'm hoping she can take this momentum into the Playoffs this next month.
