Division II-A Potential Miss Tennessee Nominees

I am going to tell you right now, I am one person who doesn't have a vote nor a dog in the fight on who wins postseason awards ( I wish I did). I personally just love talking about them and bring to light on who should be where and win what. Just like you, I have an opinion. Too bad mine just doesn't come with a vote.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The more I look at the field of prospects who will be up for these awards, I will say that all of the young ladies mentioned are qualified to receive such notoriety. Folks, it is hard to do what they do consistently night in and night out. A lot of these girls are excelling and it sucks that all kids can't go home with something. But they can't. It is what it is.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>What I am here to tell you and bring to light is this, we have some quality female student athletes in this state who thrive at playing the game basketball. They will use this sport as a platform to reach and achieve higher goals in their life. This game will take them to new heights as they continue to work on their craft. The girls who are nominees deserve every right to have their names mentioned.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This segment will be broken down in many parts. Each part will highlight some nominees in their perspective classes from around the state. This kid is a tremendous talent who is ranked nationally and has received collegiate scholarship offers from a lot of top power 4 schools. She's on the USA team in her age group, gets the job done consistently night in and night out, a tough outing for any opponent trying to slow her down. Putting up impressive numbers such as 19ppg, 4rpg, 2 asg, and averaging two steals on the defensive end. She got a taste of success last year and she has been in the lab on a mission. Like a Phoenix rising from the fire, this kid has been soaring high this year competing at a high level. Her play has helped uplift a CAK ball club and has put them into state contention. Almost a night double-double averaging 18ppg and 9rpg a game, she is a tough assignment to draw nightly for opponents. This kid plays with tremendous hustle and just gets it done. Can score it from multiple spots on the floor. She's a smooth operator who competes on both ends of the floor. A 3 levels scoring threat who can pull up in transition and knock it down or continue on and get to the rim with ease. She's on the boards, she locks up on the defensive end. Plays with poise, a heady ball player who understands how to exploit the other team's game plan.
