I was very impressed with Aslyn in White County's 58-54 win. There is a lot to like about Burkett. She has a long and strong frame with versatility offensively and defensively. She moves very well, capable of playing either forward position. Aslyn has nice touch on her jump shot. She hit a step-back off a dribble hand-off and drained a dagger of a three late in the game. Burkett scores with both hands, finishing twice with her left as she scored downhill. Aslyn finished with 13 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. The tools are in place for Burkett to creep up recruiting boards over her final three seasons.

Dawson County led 20-10 midway through the second quarter before [player_tooltip player_id='434276' first='Emma' last='Lightsey'] caught fire, hitting three quick three to trim the lead to one point heading into the half. Any time Lightsey was able to break free, she made the defense pay. Emma needs just a glimpse of space to get her shot off. She has elite range and the confidence and green light to let it fly. I thought her shot selection looked better than last year when I watched the two teams play and it led to a more accurate shooting night. The Piedmont-signee loves to pull-up in transition with her quick release. She sank five threes to finish with 17 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and 1 block. I liked seeing her drive and kick to teammates. It is a welcome addition to her game and something that she can continue to build on. Her movement off ball to work off screens to get open tires out defenders, showcasing her stamina to outwork opponents.

After a five-point first half, Kylie started to cook, finishing with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 blocks. The Piedmont Lion showcased her well-rounded skillset hitting a pair of threes and scoring in the pivot with both hands. Watkins was patient with her back to the basket, using a variety of moves and counter moves to get to favorable angles with her hook shot. Her length is always impactful inside, blocking shots. Staying out of foul trouble and defending stronger post players is key to Kylie's long-term growth. Offensively, she is a mismatch with her stretch capabilities.

Ella killed Dawson County in the second half with timely cuts to the basket, streaking across the lane to catch and finish. Shedd scored thrice via movement without the ball in the fourth quarter, twice converting And-1s. Ella Kate plays very hard. She's a physical off guard that sticks her nose in to rebound. She posted 11 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists.

The Southeastern-commit racked up 21 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block. She shot 7-8 from the foul line and scored in multiple ways. The overpowering forward showed finesse scoring on drives, implementing eurosteps to evade defenders to finish with her left hand. She sank a pair of jumpers, one from the high post and the other along the baseline. Bishop attacked coast-to-coast upon snagging rebounds, barreling her way to the hoop. Eva's game has grown by leaps and bounds over the past 12 months. She will be a strong interior presence at the NAIA level.

Maddie stepped up in the fourth quarter and hit some big shots to keep the Tigers in it. She drained a one-dribble pull-up three and dropped in a floater to cap off her 12 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal and 1 block performance. The big guard did well creating open looks whether zipping in post entry feeds, hitting rollers or driving and kicking to shooters. When she looked for her own offense Maddie came away with two threes and two floaters. Siuta did a nice job defending [player_tooltip player_id='434276' first='Emma' last='Lightsey'] in the fourth quarter, holding her to three points with her length.

Before fouling out at the 2:14 mark down 50-49, Ava did some good things inside. She compiled 10 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block. Roberson was effective on the offensive glass and was able to score on high-low feeds. Her mobility and ability to catch and finish on the move was on display as she ran the open floor for hoops and scored out of pick-and-rolls. When Ava is productive in the paint, it brings Dawson County's ceiling to another level.
