Kids were duking it out against district foes, showcasing this amazing talent that we have within these borders. The temperature might have dropped outside, but in gymnasiums all around things were heating up.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I will say this, there are tons of girls around who are putting up impressive numbers. Not only are they putting the ball through the hoop, but also checking the assists and rebounding columns as well. We have a lot of girls who just get after it and doing so find themselves in position to obtain opportunities such as these. Difference makers? You bet you. If a team has a kid on it who is near or getting double-doubles, you better believe that squad is one of the top three in their district. Had a sensational tournament season over the break in North Carolina, came back to TN after a few days off and picked right back up. This kid is solid. Can score on all 3 levels. What I love about her most is her mindset and what she brings to the table. She's a gamer and her teammates follow suit. Shy of a triple double the other night, this kid checks all the boxes in the box score. 23 points, 9 rebs, 7 assists, 2 steals, talk about someone who gets after it, definitely this young lady. She's a champion, a superb leader who sets the tone for her club. She can score from multiple spots on the floor, rebound the basketball, communicate with her teammates, putting them in the right spot, and lock up her opponent, making it tough for them to operate. Though she is only a freshman and it's her first crack at a tough league, look for her to continue to excel down the stretch and put up impressive numbers.
