MICHIGAN PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jan. 19th-25th

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Player of the Week Award is given to one student-athlete among many deserving candidates who demonstrates excellence during a week of their team's competition. The winner contributes to their team's success in multiple statistical categories to help her team compete to their best potential. Several players were deserving of recognition, but only one can be selected for Player of the Week. Those not chosen as Player of the Week received recognition as Player of the Week Honorable Mention. Parc scored 37 points (10/12 3 PT) with 5 assists, 3 rebounds, and 7 steals. Her 10 3s are the 2nd most in a game by anyone in D1 history. Parc added 16 points with 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Grand Blanc won both games, defeating Midland Dow 53-42 and Lapeer 63-19. Parc ended the week with 53 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds, 9 steals, and only 3 turnovers. Anayya exploded for 37 points during a dominant 74-32 victory against Dakota and added 23 points in a 58-32 win against Grosse Pointe North. At this point, Anayya certainly belongs in the Miss Basketball conversation. A.J. totaled 33 points, 17 rebounds, and 3 assists. Lucy's best game came against one of the best teams in D3. After losing to Kalamazoo Christian by 17 points in their first meeting, the Irish won a 56-55 stunner last week. She set a school record with an eye-popping 41 points and 15 rebounds.
