New Year, New Names: Upperclassmen

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><br>I was able to see several holiday tournaments over the break (Carolina Christmas Classic and John Wall Holiday Invitational) seeing some teams that I haven't been able to see in person this year.  There are quite a few new names that I think deserve to be on your radar.  Let's start with the upperclassmen.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block off her range shooting the ball.  She had a nice quick pass up the court for her teammate hitting her in stride to score in transition.  She does a little bit of everything for her team following over the court making cuts getting the open look around the arc and flashing in the paint for the pass and bucket.  She had a way of coming up with the ball when it seemed like the play was broken aggressive following shots extending plays with the offensive rebounds.  She didn't back down from attacking the gaps and finding ways to open up the court for her teammates with her cuts.  She did well without the ball finding the open spot around the arc to take her shot.  She was tasked with guarding the top player on the opposing side showing her strength on the other end of the court.</p> court press and scoring on a fast break against some tough contact.  She even had a nice tough take to the rim finishing and earning the old fashioned three point play opportunity.  She was feisty on grab the steal making sure the entry pass didn't reach its destination, and she made hard cuts on offense losing her defender and getting ready for her shot.  She did a nice job rebounding on both attacking the basket aggressively using her handles to get to the hoop, and she did well finishing from the free throw line when she was fouled.  She uses her length well to cause some problems on defense.  She did a nice job boxing out her opponents getting the rebound on defense.  Her length was an asset on the court blocking shots.  She has a quick close out around the perimeter, too.  </p>
