Virginia Academy got out to a big lead early, and their scoring was pretty balanced overall. A player that stuck out to me was [player_tooltip player_id='376338' first='Aliza' last='Murray']. Aliza had 17 points, leading all scorers. I love Aliza's ability to play both guard positions at a high level. West Potomac always has a balanced attack, but Olivia seems like the engine and initiator for this team. Olivia has great quickness and shoots the ball well. She does a good job running the offense or playing without the ball. One of them was [player_tooltip player_id='1251849' first='Madison' last='Coutinho']. Madison has been a big part of Robinson's elite defense over the past few years. She is a pest and racks up steals. Madison can knock down threes and does a great job in transition after she forces turnovers. Langley has a handful of young pieces that are flying under the radar, and this team has a lot of great players. [player_tooltip player_id='1003768' first='Alice' last='Allen'] has been terrific in her freshman season, and it looks like Langley has another high-potential Freshman in [player_tooltip player_id='1201271' first='Mariah' last='Armah']. Mariah has great length as a wing and is a terrific spot-up shooter. Mariah is effective defensively and on the glass. One of those pieces is Sophomore guard Sammy Boyers. Sammy is a terrific passer and does a great job attacking the rim. Sammy can knock down outside shots and does a great job playing at her own pace. This was a game I was looking forward to, and it was competitive throughout. The real turning point for me was [player_tooltip player_id='239387' first='Kennedy' last='Parrott']'s shooting in the 4th quarter. Centreville was down for a large chunk of this game, but Kennedy hit 3 threes early in the 4th, 2 of them on back-to-back possessions. This gave Centreville a lead they never relinquished. Kennedy can get it done from all three levels and put in 29 points to lead all scorers in a Centreville win.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
