<p>Weather delays and postponements seem to be a part of the tradition with the 695Hoops Public vs. Private Challenge. This year was no different as the event had to be played over two different dates. On Saturday, January 25th there was a remixed lineup of games at St. Vincent Pallotti, which featured some exceptional performances. </p>

<p>Lexie's team made the trip from West Virginia and she turned in an awesome performance, She led her team in scoring with 17 points and showed that she can score, but also run the point and set her teammates up, She is fast and athletic and able to finish through contact. She has a great feel for the game and is an exceptional defender. She was recognized as the game's MVP. </p>

<p><strong>Mary Rivera, Washingtin, 2025, Point Guard</strong></p>

<p>Small guard but a very solid ball handler and excellent passer. She set her teammates up for easy shots all game long with accurate passes delivered right on time. She also chipped in 14 points. </p>

<p>Layla had a tremendous game against Roland Park, leading her team to victory. She led the team in scoring and made big plays on both sides of the court all game. She took home an MVP award. </p>

<p><strong>Kirsten Holt, Mt. Zion Blue, 2026, Center </strong></p>

<p>At 6'3" Kiki was able to impose her will on Oakland Mills and exploit their lack of size. She was dominant on the glass and scored off several put backs. She was also strong on defense, deterring a lot of drives to the basket. </p>

<p>Dylan is one of the best perimeter defenders in the area and she showed why in this game. She was disruptive all game against Washington High, getting deflections and stealing passes. She kept everything in front of her, stifling ballhandlers with her quick feet and instincts. She had a couple of spectacular chase down blocks and led her team in scoring. </p>

<p> Ava is a versatile player and she put that on display in this win over Rosedale Christian. She was a terror on defense, keying the press and creating havoc all over the court. She scored, crashed the glass and provided a spark whenever the team needed it. She took home an MVP award. </p>
