Checked in on a strong NEPSAC matchup with a handful of scholarship level talent playing. This game started out with intense energy from Tabor that resulted in them getting a quick 20-0 lead. The Seawolves played stifling defense, especially with that crowding pressure they provided from their early press. The 2-3 zone Tabor was in seemed to give Saint Andrew's real problems in the first half; the Saint's perimeter players weren't able to get much going through the usual dribble activity. The defense Tabor provided was outright suffocating and they capitalized off that. The Seawolves took advantage by speeding up the tempo and placing the Saints under immense duress. Saint Andrew's was able to fight back as the game progressed in the later quarters which truly showed their strength of character. The score was unmanageable as the clock winded down though; the initial gap was far too vast to get back into the game. Tabor picked up the big win 76-34 on their home floor.

Lauren's physical tools, as well as the versatility provided was extremely valuable. She really stood out in this game due to the length and agility provided in various roles. Fitzgerald's energetic effectiveness was one of the motives for the team pouncing to the considerable lead. The defensive mechanics were prominent and the smothering defense she's known for was substantiated. Lauren was no slouch on offense either. She was able to contribute at critical points to help widen the gap.

Ava looked fabulous in this one. She exhibited exhilarating 2-way abilities and dominated in the matchup. Her defensive mechanics allowed her to have the edge over many of the ballhandlers. She was disciplined but made the right decisions that led to more turnovers for the opponents, it was great to see Black hitting rhythm 3's with defenders all in her face. Not just hitting at her sweet spots either, she was drilling corner 3-pointers, as well as some from deep range in semi transitional play. Ava took charge of the game from the start and never let her foot off the gas.

Even though the score was out of hand early on, when Zoe got inserted back into the game, she immediately scored off an inbound possession to get the and-1. The aggressiveness in her takes were noteworthy and that dynamic propensity off the bounce makes her a credible wing attacker. On the defensive side of the ball, Zoe was very reactive. She recovered to the cutters that found the open areas in the zone as they were flashing or diving hard. Knight was one of the more ubiquitous defenders in this game, even though the score spiraled at periods. She could be found at the top of the perimeter, guarding the primary ballhandler or on the backline regions.

Jickling was a well-grounded asset for the Saints in this one. Her adaptability and productivity as a tweener work wonders for the flexible lineups Coach Batastini loves to utilize. Jickling provided a spark when the Saints went small and she found herself being able to function well while having the opposing bigs guarding her. As the game was reaching a hostile point, her energetic drive straight down the lane after rim running through the press provided critical momentum. Her offensive aggressiveness conveyed a message of a steadfast player that has a lot of character. Her dogged assertiveness was pleasant to see in a game where the score got out of hand.

[player_tooltip player_id='270721' first='Kaelyn' last='Carroll'] (2025) | 6'2 Forward | Tabor

Although she may lineup as a big for Tabor at times, Carroll's skillset far exceeds the position. The elite star's adroitness and versatility puts the team over the top. It's a tall task to ask anyone to stop Carroll. She has all the physical tools and far too adept for the bigger players, plus her frame makes her a tough cover for wings or stretch forwards to stay in front of her.

In this game, Kaelyn was a defensive anchor that shut the paint down. She was agile in the zone, displaying her lateral quickness on the backside with a minimal recovery time. Her presence was a major deterrence and one of the glaring hindrances for the opponents. The takes to the rim appeared to dissipate in the first half after shutting down a few efforted attempts early on. When Kaelyn left her feet, she made statement blocks that were nothing short of inciting. On the offensive side of the ball, she multitasked throughout the duration of the game. The quick decision-making was notable; she got the ball out of her hands fast, knowing she'd get it right back as the play developed and more actions formed. Carroll doesn't overcomplicate things. The game seemed to come easy to her. She crashed the glass on teammates' 3-point attempts and extended the floor from the mid to high-post areas when she needed to draw out bigs from the paint.

Carrol merits being the #1 ranking in the senior class.
