What more can be said about the insanely talented Carroll. The ESPN Top 20, McDonald’s All-American, 5-star rated player has had a historical season that many could only dream of. Carroll is a rare and elite talent that is highly productive with or without the ball in her hands. She knows how to play the game the right way and because of this her exceptional talent always has her team in the hunt for a deep postseason run. Kayelyn hit the 1k mark the other week and her team is rolling right now, a fearsome thought for opponents.

What a fabled career Carroll has had so far; she’s one of the rare talents with an astoundingly bright future ahead of her on the court.

Although she may lineup as a big for Tabor at times, Carroll’s skillset far exceeds the position. The elite star’s adroitness and versatility puts the team over the top. It’s a tall task to ask anyone to stop Carroll. She has all the physical tools and far too adept for the bigger players, plus her frame makes her a tough cover for wings or stretch forwards to stay in front of her.

In this game, Kaelyn was a defensive anchor that shut the paint down. She was agile in the zone, displaying her lateral quickness on the backside with a minimal recovery time. Her presence was a major deterrence and one of the glaring hindrances for the opponents. The takes to the rim appeared to dissipate in the first half after shutting down a few efforted attempts early on. When Kaelyn left her feet, she made statement blocks that were nothing short of inciting. On the offensive side of the ball, she multitasked throughout the duration of the game. The quick decision-making was notable; she got the ball out of her hands fast, knowing she’d get it right back as the play developed and more actions formed. Carroll doesn’t overcomplicate things. The game seemed to come easy to her. She crashed the glass on teammates’ 3-point attempts and extended the floor from the mid to high-post areas when she needed to draw out bigs from the paint.

Carrol merits being the #1 ranking in the senior class.

Carrol is a premier athlete and one of the best complete prospects in Rhode Island. Kaelyn is a player that can fit many different builds and play different positions if the play calls for it. Kaelyn is a clear all-star and all-league talent that deserves all the accolades and recognition she gets because she is an extremely high-level player.

Kaelyn dropped 21 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 block in her recent game vs Northfield Mount Hermon. Although these stats aren’t too far off from what she has been doing this season, it was refreshing to see someone dominant be up and active on a press. That speaks to what type of athlete Kaelyn is, although super active on a press her team runs, she was back on defense to grab the boards and also one of the first up the floor to get some easy layups in transition. Carrol was knocking down shots within her sets and also got a couple heat checks throughout the game, always keeping her opponents docile until the very of the game with her aggressive scoring nature.

Carrol is a wing that has a silky-smooth game that isn’t afraid of the big moment. Her ability to take over games is unmatched and a task many don’t willingly take on. Carrol has a deep bag and is rarely rushed but crowding defenders. She can face up and back down smaller players while giving counters, including a mean one-legged turnaround out the post that would be tough for anyone to stop. Carrol is strong enough to finish through just about anybody and please don’t dare her to shoot because she will knock down the 3 at a high percentage.

She has great court vision and instincts, allowing her to get stops for her squad and frustrate opponents. Also an efficient scorer, Carroll is a strong two-way player with tremendous potential heading into her upperclassman campaigns.
