I came out to watch her play after I heard about her amazing performance in the area when she scored 39 points. I had to see what this girl's game is all about. In the first quarter, Maddie started off a little slow on the scoring side, with the score being 12-2, but she did what big-time players do: she affected the game in multiple ways. Immediately, Maddie was grabbing offensive rebounds and running the floor.

Her passing abilities and the way she lifts her teammates up are things that don't show up in the stat sheet. Maddie was vocal, motivating her teammates and giving them hope to win the game. She's an absolute beast in transition! Maddie grabbed a rebound over three Huffman players and took the ball coast to coast for a contested layup.

Maddie's a slithery finisher with her ability to avoid contact and leave her defenders looking silly, which is super entertaining. Her footwork is her greatest strength; when she posts up on defenders, her ability to execute effective moves with the agility, power, and confidence she plays with is amazing.

Maddie is the most complete player I've seen in 6A so far, and one of the most skilled players in her class of 2027. She's also a class act; with her talent, she doesn't showboat. Despite the crowd reacting to her moves, she doesn't try to play for flash or make highlights. She goes into games just trying to win. I didn't even see Maddie celebrate the whole game; she's a true class act that any basketball fan would love to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='858157' first='Maddie' last='Walter'] finished the game with 20 points, 17 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 1 assist. She's a player that everyone in Alabama and 6A should have on their watch list!

[player_tooltip player_id='323426' first='Jareah' last='Branch'] should be on every basketball fan's watchlist going into the playoffs this season. She is currently leading a well-coached Nick Browder team to a 28-0 record. [player_tooltip player_id='323426' first='Jareah' last='Branch'] is a versatile forward who brings both versatility and leadership. She has made a lot of noise going into this season. Her ability to be a playmaker and a scorer, while also playing numerous roles on a championship-contending team, is one of the main reasons this Hillcrest team looks unbeatable heading into the playoffs. Jareah's ability to lead games in different ways allows her team to have success in each matchup. She leads by example in multiple ways, whether it's scoring the most points on the team or holding the best scorer on the opposing team to the least amount of points. You never know what she's going to bring to each game, but with her unselfishness, it leads to wins. That skill is crucial for achieving victory. With [player_tooltip player_id='323426' first='Jareah' last='Branch'] continuing to play like this, I have no doubt Hillcrest can bring home the state 7A championship after knocking on that door for two years straight.

[player_tooltip player_id='330435' first='Haley' last='Trotter'] is a versatile 1-5 defender who will be a must-see talent going into the playoffs. Her ability to do the dirty work on the rebounding end, block shots, get rebounds, and guard everyone is what every coach dreams of having on their team during the postseason. Her work on rebounding and her ability to affect the game in multiple ways will allow her to advance going into the playoffs.

[player_tooltip player_id='512633' first='Chauncey' last='Dixon'] is a one woman army. She is hands down the most dominant big in 1A.Chauncey post dominance makes her must see going into Area play and the playoffs.

Marcionna Young She's a fierce guard who should be on everyone's watch list for 1A.
