Notable Newcomers in the 2027 Rankings

After numerous trips to the gym, travels to tournaments, and journeys to open gym and showcases, we look at some of the new players in the 2027 that we encountered over the past year. Moreover, we hilight some of the notable Sophomores who not only debut into the me rankings, but do so with a little notoriety from standout performances that occurred since since our previous 2027 rankings were released.    [player_tooltip player_id='815364' first='Mimi' last='Ross'] enters the 2027 rankings with the highest debut.   The young guard has a presence on the floor of a leader.  She is confident on the fooor and does a good job of leading on the floor.  Ross impressed with very good ball handling skills and was very graceful on the court.   The young guard is a two way player who excels on both ends of the court.      [player_tooltip player_id='1158177' first='Laila' last='Snow'] enters the 2027 with the game that's predicated on speed and good ball handling skills. Snow is quick and shifty and can shoot the ball from all three levels. She also has the ability to get down hill. Having speed and an ability to score in various ways allows Snow to create separation from the defender. She is a playmaker and can create for herself and teammates. Snow also has good court vision and does a good ball of advancing the ball vertically up the court. She is a player we will continue to watch.     [player_tooltip player_id='897274' first='Bryonna' last='Grimes'] enters the rankings as one of the top efficient three point shooters in the 2027 class. Grimes has made approximately 50 percent of the threes attempted this year (52 of f106.) An amazing stat is that she shoots 50 percent from three point land and 42 percent over-all. Grimes is a shooter and can score from any level. She also plays on the defensive end and does a good job in the passing lanes and on help-side defense.     [player_tooltip player_id='1124186' first='Destiny' last='Pickard'] plays the game like a coach on the floor. She consistently makes the right decision on the floor. She has good ball handling skills, can pass the ball, and is very consistent shooting on the perimeter. She has a nice shot and can really shoot the three ball. Pickard enters the rankings as a guard we are paying attention to. A good summer could be in the making for this talented guard and we will be keeping an eye on her development.     [player_tooltip player_id='1036071' first='Carolyn' last='Caldwell'] is one of the many under the radar players in the 2027 class . She is known in Clay county, but not many outside of the county know about the power forward who enters the State rankings. Caldwell has been impressive the few times that we have seen her play. She can finish in the paint, runs well from the four position, and has a nice midrange game. The power forward is also a very good rebounder. Caldwell will look to improve on her game over the travel period and the remainder of the high school season.     [player_tooltip player_id='1121216' first='Judianis' last='Rojas'] caught our attention over the holidays at Wesley Chapel. She was an impressive point guard who was excellent at setting her teammates up for open shots. The young guard made very good decisions on the floor and showcased a high basketball IQ. She was crafty with the ball and also had a lot of offensive tools in her repertoire. Rojas could shoot the three and score with the float game. Rojas is a guard to watch over the summer.
