Postseason X-Factors in the 16th Region

Teams across the Bluegrass State will be battling for the opportunity to make that special trip to Rupp Arena. They've played a vigorous schedule but are starting to gel and have strung together four wins in a row. Sophomore C/PF [player_tooltip player_id='913398' first='Alexis' last='Troxler'] was a started at the beginning of the season and is now the 7th player in rotation since two starters returned from injury. One of her roles is to rebound and she has stepped up, leading the team with 5.5 RPG. Alexis is just scratching the surface of her long-term potential. Her length, athleticism, and versatility on both ends of the floor will be key for the Kittens as they look to make it back to Rupp Arena for the first time since the 2022-2023 season. She averages 15 points and 5 rebounds per game and is shooting 83.2% from the stripe. Kennedy is a threat to score from anywhere on the floor and her efficiency from the free throw line makes her a reliable source in crunch time. Averaging 19 points a game the sharpshooting junior has carried the scoring load for the Lady Rams this season. Her leadership has been evident this season and hitting 1,000 points and grabbing over 600 career rebounds shows her consistency and impact over these past few years. At just a 7th grader she leads Boyd County in scoring with 13.5 points per game this season. Kollyn has good size at 5'8 and she can flat-out let it go from beyond the arc. Her ability to rebound and score both inside and out makes her a versatile threat on offense. The Lady Cats have great depth and several scoring options.
