Top Women’s Basketball Performers Entering Tournament

Division II-A tournament kicks off this week, with Division II-AA and Public schools wrapping up their final games. Teams pretty much have an idea of where they will finish in the standings. With that being said, it's a win-or-go-home mentality from here on out as every matchup means something.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>To close out the regular season, there were plenty of girls who finished hot. Not only were they scorching the nets, but also getting it done on the boards as well. Like I have always said, it's the little things that help propel teams to victories. You and I would take those numbers any day. AD was feeling it as if she wouldn't be denied against Harpeth Hall. She owned the paint on both ends, getting it done, and enforcing her will. This kid is strong, knows how to establish herself down low, and finishes around the rim. She's capable of performances like this nightly. Though her team fell short, performances such as these provide an array of hope for a ball club as they enter tournament play. You can never count out the Lady Cavs especially when this young lady is on the floor. She plays with a motor and can score at a high clip from multiple spots on the floor. When she's on, her team is hard to beat as they feed off her energy. This week she had two performances where she scored 20 points. Of course, getting buckets will have you take notice of her, but it's how she gets them is what's exciting. Only a sophomore, this young lady is becoming one of the most solid two-way players in the state. Rebounds, steals, deflections. You've heard the term “O is the show, but D is the key?” Well her as is what she prides herself in as she locks up the opposition. She's a solid prospect who is blossoming into something special.
