This freshman from Rangeview showed her toughness this season. When she combined that toughness with her great fundamentals and natural height, she was a force on the varsity floor. At 6'1", Nylah makes great use of her height by posting up smaller, less skilled players to get easy buckets for herself. She is also great on the boards at both ends getting timely rebounds for her team. Duncan sees that court well for a post player and makes very good decisions with the ball in her hands. She is confident cacthing in the middle of the press, or making passes out of the block. On defense, Nylah does exactly what she needs to do. She battles in the paint with other post players, making sure everything they get is difficult. She is also great in help defense and can get blocks on guards that drive into the paint. It will be exciting to watch this freshman continue to hold her own with older players this summer and as her career continues the next 3 years.

Watson will definitely be one to watch this summer and in the DPS league throughout her career. As a freshman she earned All City Team Honorable Mention. Hannah is listed as a small forward, but she can play both inside and outside very well. Her handles dont just keep her in the post, she can help to bring the ball up the floor in pressure as well as get herself to the basket for points. Hannah plays well with her back to the basket, and she can also muscle defenders from the high post. Watson's game also has finesse, she can hit the pull up jumpers from mid-range and even from behind the arch. Defensively, Watson is all over the court. She has quick hands and feet to defend dribblers and shooters on the wing. Her tenacity keeps her competitive in the paint against taller post players. Hannah is going to be exciting to watch as she continues to hone her skills.

As a freshman, Cain is just getting started for George Washington. This freshman is fundamentally sound. She is confident with the ball in her hands. She makes great decisions on the court from breaking a press, hitting an open teammate for a bucket, to getting her own points. Michele is a taller guard, using her height to score over smaller defenders. Her jumper is consistent from 2pt and 3pt both. She also uses her height to be a great rebounder on both ends of the floor. Defensively, she still uses her height and quickness to her advantage. Cain will smother smaller guards on the wing, but she isnt afraid to battle in the paint if she gets a post matchup. Cain will continue to be a key for George Washington beyond her freshman season.

Listed at 5"8", Drake plays much bigger and for Arvada West, she was a reliable freshman anchor for the team. Emerson is strong both with and without the ball in her hands. She creates a lot of good things on the court for herself and her teammates with her constant movement. She is always setting tough screens and making the hard cuts. With the ball in her hands, she uses her strength to get to the basket and finish, but she also knows when to pull up. Emerson can also shoot the ball and get points from 2pt and from behind the arch. If needed, Drake can also get buckets in the paint against taller post players. On the defensive end, this freshman isnt intimated at all. She uses her length to contain wing players and you will definitely find her battling in the paint for every position and rebound. Drake gives Arvada West a bright future.

Watching Hanlon play is exciting because she is always having fun on the court. Definitely not in a silly way. This freshman has put in the work to make her game effortless and smooth. She has great ball control, she has handles under pressure and is calm enough to make sure her team is running through offensive sets. [player_tooltip player_id='899784' first='Olivia' last=''] sees the court very well, she can deliver passes on a dime, from full court and in traffic. Hanlon can get her own buckets too. She can get to the basket and finish or get to the freet hrow line for points. And all [player_tooltip player_id='899784' first='Olivia' last=''] needs is space to let it fly, her shot is consistent from 2pt, 3pt, even the logo isnt outside of her range. On D, she is just as disciplined. Olivie can guard full court and lockdown in the half court. Definitely look for her to be sneaking in the paint for steals and rebounds from the unsuspecting post players. Hanlon with Denver East should be on your watchlist.

Don't let the height fool you, even at 5'3", Christopher is getting it done on the court for Loveland. As a freshman she made 2nd team all conference and it is because of her great guard play. This PG checks all of the boxes. She can handle the ball under pressure as well as find the key scorers on her team. Addie also uses her handles well to create her own scoring opportunities. She isnt afraid to take it to the paint to get points and she can also hit jumpers from the mid-range and 3pt both. On defense, Christopher is a pain in anyone's side. She is has quick hands and feet all over the court, averaging almost 3 steals per game. Addie is also great in helpside to sneak the steal or even a charge from the taller post players. Christopher will continue to boost the guard fire power for Loveland for her next 3 years.
