Elite perimeter shooting is a staple in CA high school hoops. The usual suspects from long-range impressed all-year-long. There are also new standouts who have been special throughout the 2025 playoffs. The ladies below are lights out and officially on our radar as Tier 1 sharpshooters.

Mahlaysia has very fluid mechanics on her jump shot. She could easily average 25+ on a less-talented roster with a higher usage rate. Faith Christian prevailed 58-53 vs. Cornerstone Christian to take home the trophy. Lauren has been a well-known shooter since her freshman year, but the efficiency is now catching up to the volume. 24 made threes in the state tournament on a remarkable 46.1%! Given the difficulty of her threes and the amount of defenders in the area, this feat is even more impressive. Lauren had 2 ridiculous performances from long-range earlier this year: 12 made threes and 49 points on January 14, and 13 made threes out of 16 attempts on February 25. Perhaps the top off-the-dribble shooter returning next year in a state full of snipers.

Half Moon Bay reached the Division IV state final and a huge reason was the presence of Aila. In the opening round state playoff, Alia went 3/4 from distance. In Half Moon Bay's regional semifinal blowout, Alia again went 3/4 from 3-pt range.
