It's time to show the bigs some love in this unique class. The frontcourt players are getting some recognition here with a quick listing of who leads the pack, With the rankings updated just a few days ago, it's the ideal time to have this discussion. These girls have shown a high degree of skill at their position, especially over the season. Some have been underappreciated players in the past, but recently shot up the ranks and others have maintained a steady position. Here are 5 of the top players in the '27 update.

Use code MBG30 for 30% off your first purchase of any subscription.

[player_tooltip player_id='1050255' first='Pearl' last='Dickson'] (2027) | 6'4 C | Berkshire ]

Dickson was Berkshire's frontline force that has made huge strides in her game over the year. She has found a touch for herself around the rim, demonstrating she can be a reliable figure when it matters. Not only that, but Pearl has been massively effective being a rim protector and discouraging lane drivers. The 6'4 big has started to come into her own, its daunting to think of where she could project as she adds more pieces to her game. All that said, her impact on the game has her as the #1 big in the class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1048962' first='Daniella' last='Harcourt'] (2027) | 6'4 PF/C | Darrow

Although able to play power forward effectively, she's listed as a center here. What a powerful, yet fierce defender Harcourt is. She also has this competitive edge that's needed to win big games. A player that's willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done, including sacrificing her body to make momentous plays. A great screen setter, a solid roller and Daniella also absorbs a lot of the physical contact met at the rim. The defense is what really sets her apart though. The influence she has on this side of the ball is immense. This is one of the main factors in her placing as the #2 player at the position.

[player_tooltip player_id='967305' first='Dariia' last='Serednytska'] (2027) | 6'2 C/ PF | MSC

Dariia is a versatile big that can play both the 4 and the 5. She can play with just about any skillset on the floor due to her in & out methods in the halfcourt plus she gets up the floor faster than most at the position, showing she can play fast-paced too. Being able to play in different tempos as well as being a playmaker on the defensive end has made her an intriguing watch. With the transfer from Ricky Hill over to Mount Saint Charles, Serednytska has made a seamless transition and impacted the Mounties as they've moved into NEPSAC play. With a player like her, they're in good hands. She's currently ranked #3 at the position and #33 overall in the class.

[player_tooltip player_id='967964' first='Aliona' last='Nikulina'] (2027) | 6'0 PF | RHCD

Battling through injury isn't going to set back Nikulina in these positional rankings. The level of production on offense, plus her tendency to play solid and adaptable defense makes her one of the best overall big talents. She comes to play every game, plus she's as tough as nails. Aliona has been able to get back on the court for a bit of action this year, but a fully healed Aliona is a scary sight, especially when she'll be heavily featured with even more add-ons to her game. With a tenacious attitude and a will to want to be dominant, Nikulina is a tough matchup.

[player_tooltip player_id='1103774' first='Angel' last='Efaso'] (2027) | PF | Austin Prep

Angel has benefited from playing alongside a nationally ranked player on her team. Even though that may be true, when looking at her induvial skillset, it's obvious that she makes her team better. She's a complete x-factor offensively, only because when she's on, Austin Prep looks frightening. What stands out most about Efaso though is that she's found ways to affect the game, with and without the ball in her hands. She has evolved from getting handfed baskets, to being able to fend for herself, finding shots between the seams. Angel does this without taking away from the offense. A very smart defender, that understands reads and jumps to the ball, plus she can guard many different pick & roll options. Her overall athleticism as well as agility makes her quite a noteworthy player in the frontcourt. She's ranked the # 2 power forward and the #57 player in the class.
