NCHSAA State Championships: Day 2 MVPs

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The NCHSAA state championships are being held this weekend in Winston-Salem.  Saturday was a showcase of the 2A and 4A matchups.  Each team is awarded a Most Outstanding Player, and the winning team has the Most Valuable Player.  Let's take a look at those winners from day 2 of the event.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block in front of passing lanes grabbing steals.  She opened up the second half scoring for Wakefield with a tough take at the basket making it through contact.  She followed shots on offense being ready to put it right back up for two points.  She did well seeing the floor finding her open teammates around the perimeter.  She hustles down the court getting a tough pass break up leading to a turnover for her team.  She came up big time hitting two three pointers tying up the game with 19 seconds left.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block moving on the court making smart flashes in the paint, and she's ready to shoot knowing how to make it count.  She is so quick on her feet posting up in the paint, and she can shoot all over the court.  She runs the floor well being ready to help with fast breaks, and she did a nice job using her length to grab rebounds and protect the basket on defense.  She even made some nice passes ready to play every chance she gets making the moves to find the open spot, and she can go to work scoring off the dribble making nice adjustments at the rim.  She's a tough defender jumping out quickly on the full court press.  She seemed to slide behind her defenders getting lost to make her shot.  She had a tough take getting to the block with her ball handling and finishing with her ball from her opponents and pushed it to the other end.  She did a nice job boxing out her opponents on defense.  She had a tough play finishing through contact at the rim giving her team some life big presence in the paint being able to move well with her feet and take up a lot of space to get into position and score some points.  She was strong in the paint getting rebounds on both ends of the court.  Her ability to block shots protecting the basket was apparent.  She was a wall in the paint blocking the path of her opponents.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> over the court on defense hustling after the possession knocking the ball away, picking the pocket of her opponents, or hustling back on fast breaks to stop the basket.  She saw the floor well bouncing it in to her teammates making the cut, and she didn't have a problem picking the pocket of her opponents and scoring off the turnover herself.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!--
