Aliyah has stepped up big during this tournament. She plays hard on both ends of the floor, showing good anticipation on defense, rebounds, and hustles hard, and nice touch from the free throw line. Against Albertville she was tough to handle down low, showing good seals to the basketball, she finished with 14pts in the first half and 22 for the game. The C/O 2026 forward will be someone more schools will be reaching out to, as a huge part in winning the state championship for Hoover.

Avery is an 8th grader starting on varsity and playing big minutes on a big stage. She seems to be well poised, under control and always looks to make the right & smart play and at times she's the more aggressive one looking to help her team score. Against Ft Payne she had a game high 25pts leading all scorers and showing her good shooting ability from 3 an the free throw line. It's still early and Avery has a lot more basketball to play, but the experience and production she is getting now is going to be huge as her game continues to develop. She can make a run as a top player in the state in the coming high school years.

Avery was part of the 6A all tournament team while also winning All Tournament MVP honors

Playing in the final 4 at the BJCC, Olivia was the 2nd leading scorer for the game, totaling 19pts shooting efficiently 8-13 from the field. The senior guard also chipped in with 3reb, 3ast and zero turnovers while getting 3 steals. Olivia had a good, solid overall game on a big stage before helping lead her team to the championship game. She showed she knows how to play the game well and should get some more attention about playing at a collegiate level.

Maggie Jarret is an athlete who plays multiple sports and excels in all of them! However, we wanted to shed some more light her way as she has been a huge part in Spring Garden winning 3 straight titles.

She does a bit of everything to help her team win, but her 3 point is shooting deadly. Leaving her open for 3 is a mistake that a lot of teams have made this year and especially during this tournament run. Playing alongside [player_tooltip player_id='323415' first='Ace' last='Austin'] has given her really good looks to shoot the ball at a high clip and this is a role Maggie can continue at the collegiate level for another player who garnishes a lot of attention or a point guard who distributes the ball well. I know more colligate coaches have been impressed by her shooting!

[player_tooltip player_id='328859' first='Kaitlyn' last='Gipson'] is one of the role players in the state. She know her role and plays it very well. Playing for a powerhouse and defending champions Hoover High she's able to make her presents felt during each game, weather is getting steals, or getting buckets she can do whats needed. She can finish at the rim, go coast to coast, shooting the 3, reliable at free throw line or be the primarily ball handler. She's the X factor that has Hoover in championship contention. She she gather more college offers after a great tournament run.

We wanted to highlight [player_tooltip player_id='1038993' first='Gracyn' last='Robeson'] who is only a sophomore for 7A Albertville. She is someone who scouts should be keeping an eye on next season. Gracyn has one of the best looking shooting forms you'll see and she will make you pay if you leave her open. Unfortunately, Albertville came up short against Hoover girls in the elite 8 game, so we couldn't see more of her in tournament play, but you could tell Albertville was definitely looking to get her as many open shots from 3 as possible and she was able to knock them down when she got them. She finished the game with 14 points. As her game & role continues to expand, look for her to be one of the top lights out shooters the next 2 years.

Gracyn also was part of her 7A All County Team!
