The 3A State Champion is…

Who was crowned the WVSSAC 3A state champ?</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Wayne Lady Pioneers are your WVSSAC 3A state champs!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='722021' first='Jaycelyn' last='Sammons'] was the tournament MVP, and she earned it! In the championship game, she led all scorers with 22 points. She shot 50% from the field! She also added 5 steals. Sammons is an athlete that can score extremely fast. She knocked down numerous threes, well behind the college 3 point line. One of the prettiest threes was the four point play that she polished off in the championship! The sophomore is truly sensational! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='379522' first='Brooke' last='Adkins'] is the difference maker. In my opinion, Wayne wins because one team has [player_tooltip player_id='379522' first='Brooke' last='Adkins'] and the other does not! Brooke's senior leadership can never be measured by stats. However, she did put up big numbers every game during the tournament. In the championship game, she finished with 16 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks, and 5 steals. Youngstown State is getting a STAR! Adkins was named to the All-Tournament Team!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='388347' first='Mikayla' last='Stacy'] plays more physical than most! She does an excellent job attacking the rim. She finished the game with 7 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals. She was a stat stuffer! Stacy was named to the All-Tournament Team! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1217552' first='Kiya' last='Brown'] did an exceptional job on defense during her 16 minutes of action. She did her part and played her role exceptionally well. She's an athlete that takes care of a lot of the dirty work.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Addison Adkins was extremely impressive! She was the best defender on the court. She only shot the ball 3 times, but Wayne didn't need her to shoot today. She had numerous stops for her team and provided them with extra possessions. She led her team in rebounds. She hauled in 8 during the championship game. She also led her team in assists, with pouring out 4! She added 3 steals, and one block! She was also named to the All-Tournament team!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1224990' first='Lexi' last='Blankenship'] was a nice spark off the bench for Wayne. She went 100% from the field, on 3-3 shooting. She was able to sink both of her free throws!
