The Madison Country Day guard was the focal point of the Prairie Hawks' offense in her first high school season, and they had success. Gary's ability to handle the ball in the pick and roll, paired with her shooting when defenses went under ball screens, gave the Prairie Hawks something they could go to and rely on Gary to create an open look for herself or a teammate. I haven't seen her play since the fall, so I'm eager to see her again.

The Franklin guard was a part of possibly the youngest backcourt in the state last season. Cabrera is a kid I liked at the Freshman Showcase in the fall, and she showed flashes of talent in her minutes last season. She can handle the ball well in traffic and can get to her shot when she wants. Playing on the second [program_tooltip program_id='713043' first='Wisconsin' last='Impact'] team will allow her to shine. I'll watch Cabrera a few times this spring and summer when I can.

The Shullsburg native is one of the more intriguing kids in her class. Her size and length give her the physical tools that few other kids have in her class. Few guards at the high school level in 2028 have the 6'0 size and length to make plays off the dribble, but Russell does. As a small school kid, she may not get as much shine as others in her class do right now, but there are some tools she can work with to elevate above other guards in her class.

Slinger was a team that struggled to put together consistent production last season, but Karl did find some success in the North Shore last season. The Owls' newcomer led the team in scoring this past season, and she has a different profile than most North Shore kids. Karl is a physical wing who can step out, knock down perimeter jumpers, and get to the free-throw line five times per game. Playing in a setting with more creation in the backcourt, Karl could look better than she did in the most recent high school season.
