Lady Baller Insider (LBI) presented the Wilkins Report Jamfest (NCAA Certified Live Period) tournament in Howell on April 26th and 27th. Several local programs and a handful of clubs from regional states participated in the tournament. Most of the athletes were perfect for NAIA/D3/JUCO D2 colleges to evaluate, and several college coaches were on site. A point guard who proved exactly why she was a Freshman Player of the Year Finalist and deserving of her high ranking, despite being an undersized guard. Let's meet the top point guard prospect from the 17U games on Saturday, and several guards who had great days for their teams.

Kassidy was the best point guard on the court during my time watching 17U games at Jamfest on Saturday. She changed gears and weaved past defenders using shifty dribbles. Kassidy was either scoring layups or getting to the free-throw line. She used a quick crossover to score a left-handed layup and made extra passes to open teammates when the defense converged. Kassidy buried a corner 3, dropped in a soft floater off the dribble, and used her quick hands to create steals. A point guard who scores downhill, shoots with accuracy from the perimeter, forces turnovers on defense, and makes smart passes is a weapon for [program_tooltip program_id='962114' first='Lady' last='FVV'] 17U NXT.

Evia was a dynamic player for [program_tooltip program_id='1239653' first='Michigan' last='Heat'] at Jamfest on Saturday. She drained a smooth pull-up jumper off the dribble and finished an athletic reverse layup. Evia swished a long gun straightaway triple and added another triple from the wing. She converted three straight free throws with balanced, high-snapping follow-throughs and delivered an excellent lob pass on the money to a teammate for an assist. Evia is a prospect I'm excited to see more of this spring.

Kaylee is a scrappy two-way point guard who had a solid Saturday for [program_tooltip program_id='1239258' first='HB' last='Elite'] at Jamfest. Kaylee created space with her dribble combinations, drove with a burst to the basket, and was an effective facilitator. She pressured the ball on defense and created steals. Kaylee is a 3-point threat and an efficient free-throw shooter from the line. Her 28-point heroics during the high school season helped lead Gaylord St. Mary's past Mio in the Regional Semifinals.

Alaijah was active on Saturday for [program_tooltip program_id='962114' first='Lady' last='FVV'] 17U NXT at Jamfest. She drove down the baseline with a burst and converted a tough contested floater. Alaijah beat her defender with a quick crossover and finished the play with an emphatic and-one layup off the glass. She showed her outside range by draining two corner triples. Alaijah grabbed steals on defense and made an impact with her gritty effort on both ends.

Chloe was a determined downhill scorer for [program_tooltip program_id='1239258' first='HB' last='Elite'] at Jamfest on Saturday. One of her highlight plays happened when she pushed the ball briskly down the court with both hands, spun, and finished the full-speed layup off two feet. Chloe's footwork was a clear strength during her games. She pivoted to create a lane and scored using an effective step through. Chloe paused briefly to freeze her defender and then ripped the ball swiftly for a drive-by layup. She dropped in a soft floater off two feet and buried a smooth elbow jumper.
