Adidas 3SSB Session 1: Emptying the Notebook (FREE)

Prep Girls Hoops was in attendance for some of the action here in Rock Hill, SC this past weekend at the Adidas 3SSB Session 1. 3 Stripes Gold Action:

Prep Girls Hoops was able to take in some games from the 3 Stripes Gold Session while in attendance. Let’s check out a few players that caught our eye today.

Kinady Marcengill Kinady Marcengill 5'8" | SF West-Oak | 2028 State SC – Upward Stars Gold 15U

Marcengill plays off the grid in the Northwestern corner part of the Palmetto State at West-Oak HS. Kinady played extremely unselfish today with her play. She was able to connect on some mid-range and elbow jumpers. Kinady really liked to use the old school bounce pass to find her teammates at times today. She finished with 15 points, 6 steals and 4 assists in the game.

Cherish Hunt Cherish Hunt 5'7" | SF Greenbrier M.S. | 2029 GA – Upward Stars Gold 15U

Hunt is just a current 8th grader (2029) class member. She attends Greenbrier Middle School in Evans, GA. Cherish was sporting a nose guard today and surely didn’t slow her down. She played physical in the paint and finished around the bucket. Cherish was around the paint area and playing on blocks on both sides of the floor. She finished with 15 points in the game we watched here today.

Ava Proctor Ava Proctor 5'6" | PG Legacy Early College | 2027 State SC – Upward Stars Gold 16U

Ava attends Legacy Early College in Greenville. She constantly played the game today in attack mode. Porter a combo guard was able to finish a few floaters down the lane when she touched the paint here today. Ava finished with 15 points in the loss.

Traeona Davis Traeona Davis 5'9" | PF North Augusta | 2027 State SC – Upward Stars Gold 16U

Davis was a pleasant surprise here today from North Augusta HS. Traeona finished with 15 points and 14 rebounds inside the paint area. She battled for position and manufactured some put backs on the glass for the red and white.

Horsley UNSIGNED SENIOR:

Addy Horsley Addy Horsley 5'6" | PG Bingham | 2025 State UT (2025) was playing this weekend as an UNSIGNED SENIOR. This is quite baffling to me with her play on the floor. She really understands on how to see the floor and set up her teammates in the process. Addy plays the game with court awareness and always seemed to be one-step ahead of everyone at times. She showed to have a nice 1 dribble pull-up jumper at times. Addy showed a nice hesitation move to race by defenders while keeping the ball low to the deck.

She does a nice job of changing speeds when needed. Addy was a 1st Team All-State player at Bingham HS in South Jordan, UT this past season. She played with the Utah Lady Prospects 17U Gold this past weekend.

Northwest Greyhounds 17U Have Solid Group:

The Northwest Greyhounds 17U have a solid group of players on this roster. Senior forward Oliviyah Edwards Oliviyah Edwards 6'3" | C Elite Prep (Issaquah) | 2026 State WA certainly is the highest number ranked kid here. Edwards does have a very good supporting cast in Ashley Uusitalo Ashley Uusitalo 5'9" | SG Lake Washington | 2026 State WA , Sara Mangan Sara Mangan 5'8" | SG/PG Southridge | 2026 State OR , Kawehi Borden Kawehi Borden 6'0" | PF Sumner | 2027 State WA and Giselle Dollar Giselle Dollar 5'7" | CG Roosevelt | 2026 State WA . This group of players had plenty of foot traffic following them all weekend long in Rock Hill when it came down to college basketball programs.

Edwards had it seemed like everyone in the gym tracking her steps all over the place. Oliviyah was able to fill the lane in transition and show a soft touch around the basket. She did it all at times when it came to handling the rock, securing a rebound, making a pass or getting active in the passing lanes. Edwards ran with Elite Prep this past season on the Grind Session.

Uusitalo was great off the dribble here today with her game. Ashley showed an effortless shooting stroke from 3-point range here today. She attends Lake Washington HS.

Mangan played down in Oregon last year season until late January at Southridge HS. Prep Girls Hoops saw her first play in Chandler, AZ in early February with Elite Prep when she lit up the scoreboard with 28 points while connecting on 8 three-pointers. Mangan is crafty with the ball at times in her hands with some decent quicks and the ability to get downhill.

Borden plays equally hard on both sides of the court. Kawehi is a member of the 2027 Class in Washington. She really has quick feet to collect putbacks on the glass. She had no problems guarding opponents all over the floor. Kawehi really showed good versatility to her game all day long. Borden attends Sumner HS.

Dollar a combo guard plays at Roosevelt HS. Giselle was able to setup the offense here today and direct traffic from out. She did a nice job of surveying the team with her play. Giselle constantly played under control at all times.
