"Money ball three point shooter." That was my notes from watching what [player_tooltip player_id='1153871' first='Maci' last='Pittenger'] did this weekend with her [program_tooltip program_id='715717' first='Nebraska' last='Supreme'] 17U team. Pittenger has one of the purest shooting strokes that I've seen in a while. Whenever she catches it, she is ready to let it go and every time that happens it looks like it has a chance of going in. Other than shooting, Pittenger is also an able passer, a solid defender, a decent rebounder, and an overall smart prospect. This was the first time I've seen Pittenger up until this point in her career and I was thoroughly impressed.

The most recent commitment out of Iowa in the 2026 Class is [player_tooltip player_id='510277' first='Izzy' last='Eisbach'], who recently locked into D2 - Northwest Missouri State following her high school career and she started off her AAU season this past weekend in Waukee on the right note. Eisbach was lighting it up from five feet behind the three point line, she was willing to take her defender to the bucket off the dribble for a tough attempt, and she was her EYCL team's leader in almost every contest she played over the past few days. I know a lot of college coaches that are upset that they missed out on Eisbach. She is really solid and only going to get better as she gets older.

One of the best on-ball defenders I have seen this AAU season is [player_tooltip player_id='820879' first='Ava' last='Markowski'] of [program_tooltip program_id='779942' first='ETG' last='Midwest [program_tooltip program_id='713325' first='Elite' last=''] 3SSB'] 17U. Markowski has a quick first step, natural athletic ability, she jumps to the ball at an impressive rate, and she happens to beat her opponent to their spot a good amount of the time. I know that Markowski also has a flame thrower for an arm from deep but in the contest I watched, she was making a difference defensively. Whether she noticed it or not. This is someone with D2 offers and I'm sure the list of those is going to grow as we move into Live Periods this season.

Alexis Hecht is as smooth as they come. When Hecht comes down the floor she is always looking to facilitate for others but her jumper from deep is impressive in itself. When Hecht see's one go in from distance, you better watch out cause she can score 30 in a hurry. She played more of a duo guard this weekend out on the floor between the 1, 2 and even 3 spot. If she got the ball off a rebound, she would push but if someone else did, she knew to run in transition for a look down the court. All in all, Hecht did a good job of showing off her well-rounded game against some national competition this past weekend. Something she should be proud of but not satisfied with.

Leah Brauch of DCG and AIA EYCL 11th is a fire-ball of energy out on the court. Brauch is a 5'6 PG that is extremely quick in everything she is doing. She is quick but not out of control. She just has some insane speed down the court and from side-to-side. She could be handling the rock or just running by herself, either way she is tough time to stay in front of. Literally. This is definitely a player that is going to make an impact this AAU season, as well as this upcoming Winter as a Senior with the the Mustangs.

Maddie Vickery was only able to play her first game this weekend because of an injury that occurred after a hard foul in Game 2. Prior to this occurring, Vickery had a solid start to her weekend. She is a 6'1 enforcer with a versatile skill-set between a CG and a SF. Her lengthy arms and mental IQ of the game makes her for an almost impossible guard at the high school level. She can also defend multiple positions because of this length, which makes her ideal in any defensive scheme. Always a lot to like outta Vickery whenever you watch her compete and that's why she is ranked as a national rated prospect at the end of the day.

Whenever you watch Irons compete against other high-level competition, you can tell that she steps her game up. That was the case this weekend in multiple contests in Waukee. Irons, the 5'6 PG, has been a talented prospect for years now at the high school level and she is ready to dive straight into this 2025 AAU season. Irons demonstrated an impressive handle, elite vision, and a lightning quick jumper from deep over the past three days. As a PG, you HAVE to make everyone else around you better. It's literally your most important job and every time I see Irons compete, she does that at some of the highest levels I've seen over my years. This weekend there were a ton of talented prospects in the gym and Irons showed out as one of the best.
