Big Friendly 15U All Tournament Team

Below are 5 that I felt were consistent with their play when I watched them in games and some film. A strong frame for a combo guard that liked to play physical which fits perfect into her team's concept of pressing. Showed good instincts in zone and man press of jumping the passing lane. Strong finisher at the rim that went through the contact several times for the old school 3. Pushed the tempo all weekend weaving in and out of the defense attempting to go from coast to coast. Tough finisher at the rim that took on the contact but still managed to get the shot off. A shooter that gets out quick to fill the wings on breaks looking for that transition 3. Great understanding how to move without the ball for the kick out 3. Handled the point position at times with poise and control using her physicalness to handle any ball pressure. Liked the pressure applied into turnovers leading to easy buckets for her team. A quick first step blowing the defenders on the wing getting that paint touch collapsing the defense. Understood the reads on the drives: drop off to the post or kick to the shooter or take it to the rack. Strong lower body allowed to hold her ground on the block against a taller post. Good hands on the catch and square up. Nice understanding of reading the backside rebound making a good decision for the assist. Strong rebounder that seemed to always be around the ball when coming off the rim.
