<p>The first several weeks of the grassroots basketball season has seen another exciting campaign on the travel circuit. North Carolina is the Hoop State so it is only appropriate that one of the teams once again on the trail would be a mainstay of club season. </p>

<p>That team is [program_tooltip program_id='714756' first='Carolina' last='All-Stars']. Coach Ty Cox has two teams in the 17U ranks. His team is set to do battle this weekend at the Insider Exposure Apache Memorial Showcase and will be one of the teams that will take part in next week's Prep Girls Hoops Peach Games. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='794135' first='London' last='Barber']</strong> – Barber is the only representative from 1A Gates County on this season's travel roster. She is a two-sport athlete who also plays softball. She averaged 14.5 points, 6.9 rebounds, four assists and 3.5 steals this past season for the Red Barons. </p>

<p><strong>Niyani Mayo</strong> – Mayo is another that can provide worthwhile minutes for a team in the backcourt from either the one or the two. She gives the Falcons of 3A South Central a presence on this year's [program_tooltip program_id='714756' first='Carolina' last='All-Stars'] 17U NE2K roster. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='903513' first='Camille' last='Rozzell']</strong> – Rozzell got the call up from Seaforth's junior varsity team onto the varsity squad. She was part of a 2024-25 2A Hawks team that concluded last season with a robust 28-3 record.</p>

<p><strong>Alana Burroughs</strong> – Burroughs is very busy athletically around this time of the year with softball taking up her time along with junior varsity basketball. She gives 4A East Chapel Hill a presence on this year's team. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1106256' first='Summer' last='Haith']</strong> – Faith is listed at 5-foot-11 – and can play as a two guard. Add in what she can get accomplished as a small forward and Haith bolsters a team's efforts on the wing. She is another NC GBB product. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='928373' first='Faith' last='Yon']</strong> – There are seven from this year's [program_tooltip program_id='714756' first='Carolina' last='All-Stars'] 17U NE2K team that happen to be playing up in class. Yon is one of those. She plays both volleyball and basketball at Durham School of the Arts and averaged 18.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.2 steals last season for the Bulldogs. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='652118' first='Zihanna' last='Lightfoot']</strong> – Lightfoot added national championship hardware to her resumé two years ago when 2A North Pitt prevailed in the state championship game. She recently added an offer from Avertt University in Virginia. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='772520' first='Jakayla' last='Palmer']</strong> – When looking at the numbers Palmer put up for 3A Southern Durham one can see that she is more than worthy of playing up in class on the travel circuit. Palmer averaged 11.9 points, 5.6 assists, 4.8 steals and 4.2 rebounds last season for the Spartans. </p>

The chemistry she has from playing alongside Palmer at Southern Durham will be a great benefit to [program_tooltip program_id='714756' first='Carolina' last='All-Stars'] 2025 17U NE2K. Herndon averaged 9.5 rebounds, 9.2 points, 2.7 blocks and 2.7 steals a contest. </p>

She is a two-sport athlete who also thrives as a softball standout. She averaged 13.8 points and 2.9 steals in 25 games this past season for the Knights. </p>

<p><strong>Kaidyn Atkinson</strong> – Representing 4A Willow Spring, Atkinson adds height to this team given she is listed at 5-foot-11. She is another multi-sport athlete who competes in track and field events alongside her basketball accolades. </p>
