Heart of Texas: Friday Night Standouts

A outside shooter that demands the defense respect. Excelled the best when ran off the line allowing her to create and control the offense. Aggressive and scrappy on defense stealing possessions from the other team. It's always fun to watch kids that compete as hard as Kelby does. Every shot no matter where on the floor she showed a smooth shooting form. Game I watched she started the first half 4 out 5. One of those was a nice step back off the dribble to create the space. Great size that is a force on the defensive end. Great understanding of when to go for the block or just wall up. Excellent defensive rebounder that holds the blockout until the ball came off the rim. <br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On offense watched her perform a perfectly executed rocker move finishing with a drop step spin move. Gets out and runs the court on breaks. Handles the ball against pressure with head up and eyes looking down the court making good decisions. Nice outside shooter that can knock down the 3. Aggressive driver that fits well in a 4 out or 5 offense that allows her attack the gaps getting to the rim. On of those players that gets hot from 3 then several drives later she quietly has 15 points or so.
