It’s been a remarkable four year career for Beller, as she’s tasted the lows of title games her first two years. But persevered through injuries and more to deliver back to back Gold Balls to a prestigious Washington program.

It was noticeable during warm ups that Beller looks to be nursing a nasty sprained ankle because of a bruise that ran up her left leg. Likely because of that, the senior leader didn’t start. But with her team off to a slow start, she checked into the game and brought the poise and toughness only she can bring. When the lead was cut down to three in the fourth, it was a hard nosed drive by her ending in a floater that sparked Washington to close the game out. Full stat line performance with 9 points, 8 rebounds and 4 steals. The SWOSU commit has a lot of grit so will obviously keep playing in pursuit of back to back Gold. And thankfully for her, Washington has a day off before their Friday morning semifinal game.

MVP of the Tournament her Sophomore season, Beller was stellar in last season’s tournament as Washington fell to Dale in the Finals. A 3 sport State Champion, Bellar got some state-wide attention for stepping up as the place-kicker for a very good Washington football team. Fans of the Bertha Teague are lucky to get to see her play in the tournament for one more go-round.

The leader for the Lady Warriors got the party going early. Then when Kingfisher responded, she was a key part of Washington’s response to shut the door on the comeback attempt. Ended the third by coming off a ball screen and draining a three like it was a layup. Had another dagger like score with great footwork on a tough drive. The SWOSU commit is one of the best guards in the state and gets a premier match up tonight against fellow small school powerhouse, Dale.

Beller was a star all weekend, putting on an impressive complete scoring display. She’s a shifty driver, who always looked in control even when playing against top tier competition in a super pool. While her ability to get downhill. She was even better as a shooter. Nearly has volleyball line range. There were stretches where she simply couldn’t miss. The Class 2A State Champion is one of top guards in Oklahoma and shined bright when matching up against top tier regional talent.

I have mentioned before from when this young lady entered the state tournament as a freshman you knew she was a special player. If you are looking for a floor leader that can play ball Kelby is that player. I have witness games first hand where she can beat you with the 3 pointer or carve you up with drives and pullup jumpers. Best thing about this young lady is she gets everyone involved and her teammates trust her. A proven winner on the floor the past 3 school seasons. Kelby has offers and interest after the first live period and looked in form during team camps this summer.

Finally entering her senior season, it seems like Kelby has been on the scene for a minute. It may just be that she has been to the State Tournament the past 3 years as a starter. A shooting guard that can shoot off both the down or ball screen. Handles the ball like a point guard with poise getting teammates where they need to be.

You can tell that Kelby is that type of player who is the extension of the coach on the floor. Always circling up the group getting them ready to go on the next play. Kelby has received an offer from Southwestern Oklahoma during the first live period.

Listed as a combo guard but I have witnessed this young lady take over a game with ball in hand many times. Great leader on the floor that looked like she has the Lady Warriors ready for a repeat. A guard that showed this week she could play for any of the teams this week. Outstanding shooter off the catch or bounce. Kelby has had a great spring circuit season as she has received offers

Outstanding combo guard that can play the 1-2 spots very comfortably. Ballhandling skills and vision to beat a press and has the leadership quality to get a offense set up. Good shooter the 2-guard spot with the ability to get downhill off the edge. The recruitment process is beginning to pick up on Kelby

Beller has been enjoying a great spring. Which included finally climbing the mountain in Class 3A with a dominant State Championship. Now she’s adding to her individual accolades with an offer from Southwestern Oklahoma State. One of the top guards in Oklahoma, she has fully recovered from an early in her career knee injury. Through perseverance, she’s quick and strong as a driver. While always seemingly in control. With Beller determination and winning resume, she should be one of the most popular names for regional programs.
