New Additions is usually a topic we see a lot during months that have Player Rankings Update but there are times throughout the calendar year where we need to go in and add prospects that we might not know too much about just yet. In this piece we have added five new players to our PGH Nebraska system out of the 2027 Class. Each of these prospects will compete at the Varsity level this upcoming Winter for their programs, along with The [program_tooltip program_id='712711' first='Nebraska' last='Lasers'] 16U AAU program this Spring/Summer on the road.

The discipline, athletic ability, and knowledge of the game that [player_tooltip player_id='1237571' first='Ava' last='Katzberg'] brings to the floor is unique and impressive for her age level. Kazberg is listed as a 5'10 SF but she can move out to the three point line and defend against small guards, she can step out herself and hit jumper from behind the arc, or she can hold her own and dominate down-low by the basket. When anyone is driving against Katzberg, she just stays in front with her body and makes the opponent shoot a tough attempt. This seems like something that might not matter so much but it does. Most high school players aren't hitting multiple shots when contested. It's the reality so more times than not, Katzberg is creating a stop with her play and that shows to anyone watching.

Lincoln Christian High School is coming off of a State Title because of their deep line-up, their impressive roster of next level athletes, and because of their overall team strategy for each specific contest that they have to compete in. Someone for this crew, that still has two more seasons with LC is PG - Sam Dearking. Dearking is listed as a 5'9 PG and when you see her on film, you can tell that she truly possesses this size. She also demonstrates that she is a lefty with a nice step-in shooting ability from behind the arc off the catch. Every time I see Dearking killing it, it's because she is making jumpers but I do think she possesses other layers to her play-style. She seems to have solid vision, a shifty passing ability, and a willingness to get her hands dirty in the steals and rebounding departments as well. This AAU season Dearking will be competing with the 16U [program_tooltip program_id='712711' first='Nebraska' last='Lasers'] program. This program is fairly loaded from an outside point-of-view. If everyone messes together well, they should have a lot of success these next few months.

[player_tooltip player_id='1237570' first='Augusta' last='Ganz'] has some of the best hands and feet that I have seen from the 2027 level this season so far. Ganz, a 5'8 CG, is someone that records multiple steals and forced turnovers in every contest that she plays in. During her high school season, Ganz had multiple contests with over 5 SPG and she even had a few contests near the double-digit mark. This just shows what Ganz is possible of. She understands where the opponent wants to put the ball on a consistent basis and that helps her get her hands on things. I have a feeling that AG is going to EAT this AAU season with her [program_tooltip program_id='712711' first='Nebraska' last='Lasers'] 16U squad. Especially on the defensive end.

We are going to have to do a deep dive into Milford High School and their roster this next few months because they happen to have several prospects that could compete at the next level in one form or another. Someone that comes to mind from their 2027 Class is [player_tooltip player_id='1237574' first='Ashlynn' last='Miller'] at the PF position. Miller doesn't only have size, she has great awareness, a soft touch on the ball, balanced footwork, and multiple counter-moves on either block. When she catches with her back to the basket and a little time, she is very good at converting in one way or another. She can spin middle and finish over a smaller defender or she will even pull out the up-and-under move for a pump [player_tooltip player_id='902895' first='fake' last=''] into a finish when the defense is undisciplined. Milford has some killers down low and I can't wait to see what they turn into over these next two seasons. At this pace, they look VERY promising.

[player_tooltip player_id='1237575' first='Tessa' last='Wilson'] is the definition of a prospect that anybody would love to coach. Wilson is one of the first on the floor for a loose ball, someone that communicates at a high level when she is out on the court, and she always competes with a ton of positive energy. Wilson comes in as one of the smaller prospects on her team but it's heart over hype. She is definitely okay with people underestimating her because then she can show them what she is all about. A hooper with good fundamental, great energy, and someone that plays the game the right way. All things recruiters and evaluators love to see.
