Phee Elite Classic Saturday Standouts

Prep Girls Hoops Missouri was at Principia for the first day of action at the Phee Elite Classic. Here is a look at some of the top standouts from Saturday's action.    The 6'2" 2028 wing had close to a triple-double in the opening game of the morning. She is able to impact the game in so many ways with her height and versatile skill set. She spends a lot of time as the point forward and facilitator where she can see over the defense and drop dimes. She also has the ability to score from all three levels. She is a high level prospect who's one of the best in the class and she will continue to emerge over the course of the summer.     The 5'10" 2027 guard had a strong game in the Stingers victory over the Wisconsin Blaze. She is a strong, physical guard who provides matchup problems for opposing defenses. She was scoring to tough drives to the basket and also getting to the free throw line. Her spin move in the lane was also very effective. She was also grabbing rebounds in the crowd of taller players.     A 5'6" 2026 guard for the [program_tooltip program_id='948123' first='TC' last='Hoops'] who impressed me a great deal with her tenacity and great motor. She is quick and she was aggressive on a lot of fearless drives to the basket. She had a couple of plays where she just took the ball away from another player. She also hit open 3-pointers and scored in the transition game. She was very good on the full court press with her anticipation and instincts to play the passing lanes.     A 6'2" 2026 forward who had an excellent game at both ends of the court in the afternoon game I watched her. She is a force on the defense end with her ability to block and alter shots in the paint. Her offensive game continues to emerge as she was able to score effectively in the paint. She established good position and made some tough catches in traffic which led to layups. I look forward to watching her continued improvement.     I was casually watching this game and I witnessed this talented guard just draining one perimeter shot after another. It was this 5'8" shooting guard from Louisville. She was knocking down shots from well beyond the 3-point line. In addition to being and excellent shooter, she displayed good ball handling skills and the ability to find open teammates with her passing.     A 2027 forward who is an undersized post player who gets a lot done on offense with her footwork and offensive skill set around the basket. She is great at catching at the high post, where she can attack off the dribble in either direction of just hit the jumper. She has a nice up and under move in the low post. She is physically strong and she's crafty enough to keep defenders off balance. She can also step out and hit the 3-point shot.     I was able to catch about 10 minutes of this very talented perimeter player who has already committed to Wisconsin before she twisted her ankle and had to leave the game. I was able to see more than enough as to why she is a Big Ten level recruit. She is a three-level scorer with a high basketball IQ and a pretty full offensive bag. She is also a deft passer who makes her teammates better. To be able to do all of this at her height makes her that much more difficult to deal with as a defensive player.
