Last month, we updated our rankings in each of the four graduating classes currently in high school. With the Spring grassroots season in full swing, I wanted to take a moment to press 'pause', go back, and look at the Centers in the Class of 2027 who we currently have ranked. Below that is a little analysis on a handful of them as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='834931' first='Alexis' last='Fields'], 2027, 6-1 C, Yorktown H.S.
- I've been impressed with Alexis' skill development over the past two seasons. She has a big, strong frame, she's willing to be physical in and around the paint, and she has soft hands, plus she keeps the ball high. She has a nice little half-hook, she uses the glass for angle scores, and she has some touch facing the basket to the mid-post. Defensively, she is more of a box-out rebounder and people-mover, but she has improved out on the floor in ball screen situations. I feel like she has a lot of upside for college.

[player_tooltip player_id='834936' first='Gatlin' last='Hanrath'], 2027, 6-2 C/PF, Lowell H.S.
- I finally saw Gatlin for the first time in-person a week and a half ago, and she is a very intriguing, still-growing prospect. She is very long, wiry-strong, and she runs the floor well North/South. She has solid hands and footwork at the block, she is a capable scorer from the mid-post, plus she looked comfortable reversing the ball, screening, and rolling around the perimeter. Defensively, once she learns to sit down lower, she should be able to help for a few seconds on guards and wings, but she protects the paint too.

[player_tooltip player_id='750718' first='Adah' last='Hupfer'], 2027, 6-3 C/PF, Pendleton Height H.S.
- Adah is highly rated because of her combination of size, strength, and skill. She has a strong frame, broad shoulders, and length. She might still squeeze out another inch as well. She is willing to be physical inside, rebound, and defend, plus she has soft hands and touch around the basket. Additionally, she is a real problem in the mid-post because of her face-up game, and she has the ability to knock down the occasional 3-pointer around the perimeter when set and in rhythm. She has also improved her ball screen defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='932698' first='Giniya' last='Williams'], 2027, 6-2 C, Bishop Noll Institute
- Add Giniya to the list of Indiana prospects in 2027 who are still flying a bit under the radar. She is long, wiry-strong, and athletic. She can get out and run the floor, she does a solid job of changing directions, plus she has nice bounce to her. She is primarily a rebounder/defender right now, and she almost excels at that end of the floor, blocking shots, grabbing rebounds and out-letting them, etc. She does a solid job finishing easy stuff inside, but as she continues to expand and stretch her offensive game, watch out!
