In the last few days, we've looked at some players in the 2026 and 2027 classes for coaches at the D1 level to see during the upcoming live period. Today, we'll highlight some players D1s may want to watch if they have time in the 2028 class around the state.

The 6'3 wing/forward had a solid showing when her [program_tooltip program_id='712778' first='Purple' last='Aces'] group went out to play in Pennsylvania. Her length and skill, with her size, drew interest from the highest levels of college basketball, which makes sense. You don't often see 6'3 kids who can dribble with their weak hands, which seems innocuous, but you won't see it often. She's built muscle the last year, can shoot from the perimeter, and uses her length to control games around the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='917003' first='Yana-Aaliyah' last='Stevens']

Before the last few weeks, I hadn't seen the Janesville native play since the Freshman Showcase last September or October. I was impressed by the amount she impacted the game on both ends of the floor. It felt like she covered more ground than anyone on the floor in games I watched and made numerous plays on the defensive end. Stevens also knocked down crucial shots to either keep her team in games or win them games in the last few minutes.

[player_tooltip player_id='992501' first='Kinslee' last='Nelson']

The potential is there for Nelson. The athleticism is elite, which allows her to make plays that few others can. Nelson can explode into passing lanes to make plays on the ball to earn easy layups or finish over the top of some of the better athletes in the state. Watching her contribute on the floor and play to her strengths makes her a challenging kid for defenses to slow down. However, she has things to work on offensively to refine her game on that end of the floor, but she has physical tools you can't teach.

[player_tooltip player_id='992499' first='Josie' last='Christian']

I like the Lomira native more each time I watch her play. She's a consistent scoring threat with her [program_tooltip program_id='713045' first='Wisconsin' last='Lakers'] group. Without the defensive attention she draws at the high school level, Christian can play free and show more of what she can do. Christian has shown she can score at all three levels. She's a solid athlete who can get to the rim and finish with either hand around the rim. She has upside, and I'm curious what the next few seasons look like for her.
