Sara is starting to blossom and that's clear by her performance this weekend. Team Northeast relied on her steady mechanics even through some adversity that they faced. Her hard-fought efforts helped propel her team deep in tournament play. She brings innate dual-threat attacks while being able to fill a few roles. Santimaw also brings some vital intangibles that lead to winning basketball. It's clear she's been in the gym sharpening her skills based off how she looked in these matchups. Sara was prepared for the moment and with her continued ascension, she's starting to look like quite the stock riser. This a player with star wing potential.

[player_tooltip player_id='278582' first='Olivia' last='Fleming'] (2026) | 5'7 PG | Rivals

Fleming was looking tremendous this weekend at GymRat. She brought a competitive edge that's hard for anyone to match. There're some things that really standout with her game though; Olivia's balanced attack, poise and incredible change of pace make her one of the finest guards in the entire region. This weekend was just another testament to how elite she really is. Olivia was consistently making plays happen for herself as well as others and she did this in such an efficient manner. Many high usage point guards have high assist-to-turnover ratios. It would make sense for this since they have the ball in their hands a considerable number of times more than others, but Olivia doesn't fit that mold. She's trusted when the pressure is on and she's shown plenty of times to be productive in top tier offenses without coughing up the ball. Her dynamic playmaking ability had her looking like one of the best primary ballhandlers in the building. Fleming's future is bright.

It was nice getting a chance to watch Lomax after briefly getting a glimpse of her in the high school season. She's looking mightier than ever and there just aren't many better-looking wing talents around. Her smooth offensive game has tons of features. Corrine can be assertive, searching for a bucket in her spots or she can just outright take advantage of mismatches that allow her space to operate. Her tough finishing ability allowed her to affect the game in many ways this weekend. Without question Lomax is one of the most premier players in the entire '27 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='975844' first='Genesis' last='Castro'] (2025) | Guard | Bay State Jags

The biggest suprise of the weekend without a doubt was Castro. It's been a while since seeing her last and her performance was nothing short of dominant. It was quite impressive to see the evolution in her game, especially in the new threads. Bay State Jags' 15u squad has a cohesive team that gives Genesis outlets as she penetrates the lane. She naturally creates opportunities for teammates and has a marvelous handle along with accurate touch passes. Although she has the skillset to take others off the dribble with her advanced handle, she showed she can get the ball out her hands quickly, understanding she'll get it back in a better position. Castro's shooting was reliable while remianing confident thoughout the course of many games. She showed her high arch followed by a picturesque follow-through that disregarded the defense's presence. Her decisive decision-making led to her winning MVP awards.

[player_tooltip player_id='970534' first='Lily' last='Davis'] (2028) | 5'7 PG | IBelieve

The long and athletic guard is rated one of the best '28 guards and for good reason. Lily makes it a point to get to the lane despite the defense attempting to keep her out, no matter how much they load up against her. This determination can be demoralizing for those guarding her as she finds success a plethora of ways once getting deep in the paint. The aggressive attacks are quite normal for Davis, but this weekend she exhibited more flashes of being able to create opportunities for others. Lily made the defense collapse and she found perimeter shooters on the wing for open shots. She wasn't settling either, the young point guard was unhesitant even as she fought through heavy contact. The defense was stupendous as always too. Her length allowed her to close the gap and the sticky fingers led to some easy baskets. Davis showed many possessions that she was eager to pounce on those wavering ballhandlers. After watching her a handful of times it can be said with confidence that Lily possesses game changing potential.
