"The best thing about freshmen, is they become sophomores" an iconic quote that often still proves true.

Here's a look at some freshmen who had their moments, but will be set for even bigger roles in six months.

Social Media Highlights

The talent for Woodson has always been obvious. Quick, skilled and dangerous off the dribble. Her freshman year at high school was split between two schools, first Crossover Prep then with 6A State Tournament qualifier Union. So her impact at times was a bit muted. This spring has seen her quickly ascend. Woodson has earned a Team USA invite for the U16 trails. And she's been electric with DriveNation on the Girls EYBL circuit. She's a blur in the open court, with tight handles while playing with flair. Nice no looks and great touch as a passer. Exciting prospect who looks ready to take off as another high upside player in the Class of 2028.

Social Media Highlights

Young sharpshooter, with a nice compact release. Enjoyed the clips of her getting to her spots in transition and always being ready to shoot. Along with the consistent barrage of threes, Chapman seems to already play strong and balanced on drives. Promising off the ball scorer, who will be playing for a new school program this winter.

Social Media Highlights

Nice all around painting of Davis' game. Unselfish player, who drives to pass, while also making the simple but important ball reversals and pitch aheads in transition. Complete with defensive plays to hound smaller guards, or be competitive around the rim. Off the ball movement into openings, and even post up scoring further point out the variety of ways she can impact the game. Another very high upside example of the outstanding depth in Oklahoma's Class of 2028.

Social Media Highlights

A 918 guard with some RANGE from deep. Most of her threes are from a step, or even multiple steps behind the three point line. Primarily a tape that plays to her strengths as a shooter, but there's promise on defense and as a hustler mixed in. Chasing down and getting to the floor for hustle plays. Even a nice on the ball defense poke out late in the tape. Which as a note from a person with loads of experience making highlight tapes; try to front load a video with plays like that in order to grab attention. As defensive plays and deep threes are more of an attention grabber than free throws or simple passes. While the later have a place in videos, the start of tapes need to be putting the best foot forward possible.

Social Media Highlights

With a nickname of "Speedy", it's not [program_tooltip program_id='712750' first='Shock' last='']ing that Hallum's video is filled with transition scoring and havoc causing on defense. But along with the flashy plays, looks capable of sitting down and guarding to make difficult. While also consistently making the right, unselfish passes. Hit enough threes in the video that it looks like she needs to be respected from deep. Hallum is a productive part of a 2028 squad that is having a load of success regionally.

Hudl Page

The lefty sharpshooter made a quick impact for Class A Crowder. Looks to thrive as an off the ball floor spacer, who already has the clutch gene. As with the season on the line in Regionals, she forced overtime with a triple. Then hit another to help Crowder reach Area. Is now currently running with a [program_tooltip program_id='712750' first='Shock' last=''] program that over the years has often helped eastern Oklahoma small town kids realize their collegiate dreams.
