Kansas City Clash Sunday Standouts

I had the opportunity to watch a number of games from the Kansas City Clash on the stream over the weekend. Here is a look at some of the players who caught my eye after watching Sunday's second day of action at Homefield in Kansas City, KS.    The 5'11" 2026 forward had a strong game in helping lead Phenom to a comeback victory in the morning game that I watched. She was a tough cover as she could score on tough drives to the basket while also knocking down 3-pointers off the catch. She has a nice combination of strength and finesse in her game. She was also very active on the boards at both ends of the court.     In the first five minutes of the game that I watched this talented 6'0" 2028 forward, she displayed her full array of skills. On the first possession, she zipped a dime from the high post to an open cutter for a layup. She caught the ball from the same high post and wheeled for a driving layup. She also hit a 17 foot jumper off the bounce and scored on a spin move. She also grabbed a rebound and made a great outlet pass which hit a running teammate in stride for a layup. She's an impressive young player with good fundamentals.     The 6'2" 2027 forward from Mid-Missouri was a force on the boards in the afternoon game that I watched. She was dominating the glass at both ends of the court as she established position inside and also got out of her area to corral more rebounds. She also did an excellent job getting deep position in the post to either score or draw the double team, so she could kick out to the open shooter. She had a physical presence on the defensive end as she blocked multiple shots.     A talented 5'6" point guard is a dynamic performer with the ball in her hands. She really excels in the open court where she went coast to coast a number of times in the game that I watched. She can also change speeds and directions to break down defenders and keep them off balance. She was also dialing it up from long distance if she was given a step.     A 5'6" 2027 guard from Arkansas who was I was impressed with ability to score and create offense off the dribble. The first play of the game I watched her, she set up a defender and hit her with a back cut to score an easy layup. She was hitting 3-pointers from well beyond the line and she also attacked the close outs to score on drives. She also got downhill with a nice burst on dribble penetration.     The 5'8" 2027 guard from KC is a multi-talented offensive threat who makes it look easy at times. She is a three-level scorer who can play at whatever speed she wants to play at and still be effective. She was hitting shots from well beyond the 3-point line, which gives her more space to attack on the drive where she would hit the floater, the short jumper or kick out to an open teammate. She also made some nice plays on the defensive end with deflections and steals, where she picked a pocket in the open court.     A 6'1" 2026 forward from Kansas who really impressed me with her height and versatile skill set. The long lefty could really stretch the defense with her ability to hit the deep ball. She hit a couple of shots from well beyond the 3-point line. She can also go inside to use her height to score inside. She can be disruptive at the top of the zone defense and would also rotate down to block a shot.
