In the last few days, we've looked at some players in the 2026 and 2027 classes for coaches at the D1 level to see during the upcoming live period. Today, we'll highlight some players D1s may want to watch if they have time in the 2028 class around the state.

The Eau Claire native is a riser in her class. She came into her first season at Eau Claire Memorial as a relatively unknown prospect. I watched her play in her debut against SPASH and left that gym impressed by her game. She still had to figure out where she fit in with the kids who'd been there a few years. However, Kling took off as the season went on. Her athleticism helped her excel on both ends of the floor. Kling found her groove on the offensive end of the court and was a volume and efficient scorer for the Old Abes in her first season of high school basketball. She'll be a prominent name for programs at the college level for the next few years.

[player_tooltip player_id='992492' first='Ellie' last='Pudelko']

The Wauwatosa native could have a breakout season in the 2025-26 campaign. There is an opening in the frontcourt, and I'd bet on Pudelko earning significant minutes in the frontcourt in her sophomore season for Wauwatosa East. She has built muscle onto her frame and looks like a different kid than last year. Pudelko adds a perimeter shooting threat to their five spot they didn't have a season, which could lead to more spacing for the Red Raiders guards to attack off the dribble.

[player_tooltip player_id='992515' first='Sydney' last='Loerke']

The forward from Deerfield is another intriguing prospect who was an unknown heading into her first season at the high school level. Loerke ended her first season of high school basketball, averaging a double-double, becoming one of the top interior prospects in the state. There is more for her to do at the high school and plenty of things to work on, but you don't see kids in Wisconsin with her traits and skillset at that age. Loerke makes an impact on the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='880796' first='Kinsley' last='Ketterhagen']

The reigning WIAA D3 State Champion from Oostburg will be a highly sought-after recruit in her class. The 6'1 wing can put the ball in the basket anywhere on the floor and flip games on their head. Ketterhagen is as skilled as anyone in the state and has plenty of time to continue fine-tuning her game. Playing with All Iowa Attack will broaden her horizons and help her learn how to play with talented individuals and figure out how to use her talent to help her team be the best version of themselves.
