The May Live Period has concluded, and there are some names I'd like to suggest keeping tabs on for the rest of summer. Wisconsin has plenty of impact players available in each high school class from the 2026 group to the 2028s. Today, we'll highlight a few who could draw interest before the grassroots season ends in July.

[player_tooltip player_id='751258' first='Elle' last='Krull']

Krull was putting things together at the end of the high school season. However, a knee injury early in the AAU season led to her missing the rest of the 2024 AAU campaign and her sophomore season. Krull is an excellent perimeter defender with some upside on the offensive end of the floor. Krull will continue to improve with more time on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='874378' first='Brooklynn' last='Lucassen']

The Preble guard will fly under the radar this summer. Lucassen is playing on the [program_tooltip program_id='713127' first='Wisconsin' last='Legends']' 2026 State team. Lucassen had an excellent sophomore season and was the best player on an improved Preble group in the 24-25 season. Her ability to run her team's offense and play with the ball in her hands helped generate solid offensive possessions against talented teams in the FRCC. She'll be a kid who'll play at the next level, but I'd recommend regional scholarship programs watch her if they can.

[player_tooltip player_id='1173395' first='Norah' last='Kling']

The Eau Claire Memorial guard/wing exploded on the scene as a newcomer for the Old Abes last season. Kling is an athletic kid with size who can defend multiple positions. Kling was the Old Abes' go-to scorer at the end of the season, and as she gained confidence, she became one of the top players in the Big Rivers Conference. The 2028 graduate also made massive plays in some of the biggest games in recent memory and will be someone coaches will want to watch over the next few seasons. Kling is an elite talent in multiple sports and will be a prominent name in athletics in the Northwest part of the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='936786' first='Leah' last='Awe']

You don't find kids with Awe's size and skill often. If you find a 6'3 kid who can dribble with both hands and attack off the dribble, they'll be players college coaches want to watch. Awe has offensive tools that will be intriguing to college coaches. However, her defensive ability to block shots around the rim, move her feet on the perimeter, and change the type of shots offenses take are game-changing traits.
