Saturday marked the first day of the 2025 PGH Indiana State Tournament. There are 28 teams on hand for the event, with a number of nice small college prospects in attendance in the upper age groups, along with some very intriguing youngsters making some noise as well. Below is a quick recap of a few 16U performers who stood out when I was able to see them throughout Saturday's action.

[player_tooltip player_id='1229374' first='Brooke' last='Dawson'], 2027, 5-7 CG, Lowell H.S., Indiana GAME #1 16U
- I have seen Brooke for a couple of years now, and she is playing at a nice level right now. She has length, wiry strength, and she's a nice athlete in most directions with good speed. She can play on the ball as a point guard, she can create offense off the bounce, or she can get to the rim to score. She can also work off the ball, utilize screens, and knock down open shots. She is equally effective at the defensive end of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='932688' first='Jadyn' last='Drury'], 2027, 5-11 F, Floyd Central H.S., [program_tooltip program_id='805349' first='Indiana' last='Prospects'] 16U
- Jadyn is a "typical" Southern Indiana forward. She is strong, physical, and aggressive, plus she has a nice inside-out versatility. She can play in the mid-post, knock down the 15-footer, or attack the basket from there. She's also comfortable around the perimeter, attacking the basket North/South, or screening and rolling/popping. She'll battle on the boards, defend multiple positions, and add a quiet toughness.

[player_tooltip player_id='1225169' first='Marin' last='Koch'], 2027, 5-10 F, Whiteland Community H.S., [program_tooltip program_id='1002317' first='Indiana' last='Showcase Red'] 16U
- Marin is an intriguing younger prospect who has had a nice Spring thus far. She has length, she's a fluid athlete, and she even has a little bounce in her game. She is probably most comfortable in the mid-post right now where she can shoot or drive it from 15-feet. She will box out and attempt to be physical, plus she'll rebound outside of her area and pursue rebounds. Marin can defend multiple positions as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='652045' first='Kyleigh' last='Stakelin'], 2027, 5-9 CG, George Rogers Clark H.S. (KY), [program_tooltip program_id='712782' first='Richmond' last='Heat'] 16U
- Kyleigh stood out in each game I was able to see of hers. First, she has a fairly strong frame with some length, and she's a nice North/South athlete. She plays with a good motor, she likes physicality, and she brings a toughness/competitive fire to the floor. She has ball skill and can find open teammates, plus she possesses nice touch outside and can cause problems there. I also like her versatility to basket cut and post some.

[player_tooltip player_id='890886' first='Jayma' last='Stonebraker'], 2027, 5-4 CG, Whitko H.S., [program_tooltip program_id='714264' first='OPS' last=''] UA Rise 16U
- I had seen Jayma online in the past, but this was my first time seeing her in-person. She is intriguing for sure, and she seems to find different ways to contribute. She is quick/fast and somewhat feisty, but she's also skillfully versatile. She can handle the ball and run or create offense. She also has nice touch from the perimeter and can get hot quickly. Defensively, she can apply pressure 84-feet and frustrate opponents.
