The last two days at the Champions Challenge have been slightly different. There have been younger age levels at the Champion Center, which isn't bad, but it's just made the weekend a little different than usual. I've thought the change has changed my approach to the weekend. However, there are some kids I'd like to highlight from the past two days.

The Illinois native missed her [program_tooltip program_id='712517' first='Full' last='Package'] 17u 3SSB group's Friday game, but played an excellent game yesterday. Donovan is a talented lead guard who sees the floor well and runs her team's offense well. Her ability to play within her team's press break helped her team get into offensive possessions without turning the ball over in the backcourt and, at times, getting easy looks at the basket for herself or her teammates by bursting through the press and attacking with a numerical advantage. She took a few hard hits throughout the day, popped back up every time, and continued to do what she did best.

[player_tooltip player_id='469632' first='Natalie' last='Frempong']

Donovan's backcourt mate has made plays each day at the Champions Challenge. Frempong has used her speed to beat her defender off the dribble and force defenses into uncomfortable positions. The Illinois native has also finished some shots at the basket that have been more than impressive. She's got the ball to go through the basket in challenging ways when she attacks the rim. However, the fear she put into her defenders with her ability to blow past them has allowed her to create space for her perimeter jumpers, which she's made a few of in the second half of games this weekend. I haven't seen her play in person until this weekend, but I've loved what she's done the past two days.

[player_tooltip player_id='766628' first='Brynn' last='Krull']

The Xavier guard has been excellent since the start of the high school season. Krull helped the Hawks get back to a state title game and has been a reliable offensive piece to her high school team, which continued to her [program_tooltip program_id='732460' first='Playmakers/Thrive' last=''] group. I thought she shot the ball well yesterday in a few commanding wins, and she looks more comfortable on the floor each time I see her play. The more she plays, the better she'll be, and I'm thrilled she's finally gotten to put almost a year together on the floor and play well.

[player_tooltip player_id='533065' first='Rowan' last='Klesmit']

The Neenah guard played excellent basketball for the Rockets this past season and shot the ball at a high-level yesterday. Anytime I see Klesmit shoot the ball, I expect it to go in the basket. She exudes confidence when the ball is in her hands, showed her offensive game against a few shoe programs yesterday, and found ways to get open and make shots. I've been a massive fan of hers for a while, and yesterday didn't change that.
