Sneaky Good Players Making Some Noise This AAU Summer

The AAU summer is full of talent. One of the fun parts are watching teams come together tournament after tournament and players improve every time they step on the court. These players have been sneaky good so far this grassroots summer. Get them on your watchlist now for some exciting basketball.    Avery is tough for [program_tooltip program_id='712413' first='BC' last='Denver'], she fits right in with their fast paced and aggressive play. At just over 6'0", she plays very well in the paint. She has great footwork with her back to the basket, scoring through multiple defenders and pressure to earn extra buckets at the free throw line. White can also catch on the wing in transition to get to the basket or pull up for a close jumper. On D, the multiple sport athlete is equally strong and powerful. She keeps her player in check and from getting easy touches plus she gets to help on guards. She doesn't let anything easy happen in the paint. With the height and the strength, Avery also cleans up on the boards on both ends. Watching this power forward put in work is a must this summer.     Cole is a solid guard for the [program_tooltip program_id='716215' first='Colorado' last='Hoopsters']. On the defensive end, she applies pressure in the full court, getting steals and making life hard for dribblers. In the halfcourt, she is in the passing lanes getting steals and giving help to bigger post players. At 5'9", she gets to the boards to get rebounds over smaller guards. On offense, Allison is reliable and she can get the buckets her team needs. She has good handles and can get to the basket for layups or open space for jumpers. Cole is also a consistent shooter from 2pt range and from behind the 3pt arch. An exciting player, Allison is one for the watchlist this grassroots season.     It is fun to watch Oaxaca. She is constantly moving, always in the right spots and plays hard at both ends. As a taller guard she is aggressive defensively against smaller guards on the wing, overpowering dribblers and shooters to get steals and stops for her team. She can hold her own against taller post players, get to the boards and help control the paint. On offense, she is constantly in efficient motion. She cuts hard, to catch in open spots in the paint for strong finishes. She can also catch on the wing and can get to the basket or pull up to hit the open jumpers. She is definitely a triple threat to score. With [program_tooltip program_id='715738' first='PSB' last=''], Alexcia will have a productive and exciting AAU summer.     With the [program_tooltip program_id='716215' first='Colorado' last='Hoopsters'] Hazim is right at home. She is a quick, strong guard that can take control on both ends on the court. She is talented and can play the PG and SG very well. She has great control with the ball in her hands. She can help get through traffic in the full court and get her team into sets in the half court. She sees the court well to find her teammates and herself spots to score. Hannah can get points from the paint, getting to the bucket and finishing strong through traffic. She can also hit jumpers to get points from 2pt and 3pt range. On D, she is aggressive, forcing dribblers into traps and getting steals. She is tough in help side against taller post players, battling for sneaky steals and boards. Hazim will keep things exciting for her team and those watching all summer.     As a post player, Hickey checks boxes on both ends. On defense, she isn't afraid to match up against taller post players to battle in the paint. She gives up nothing on the block and makes her opponents have to work for everything. She is strong on the boards, clearing the defensive boards to give her team the advantage. She is also mobile enough to match up and contain wing players without giving up anything. On offense, Da'Naiya is off to the races. She catches many other post players off guard the way that she runs the floor for layups. In the half court setup she can play with her back to the basket, she is strong with the ball in her hands to finish through contact in the paint. She can also hit the high post shots to keep her defenders on her toes. This summer with [program_tooltip program_id='1120297' first='Mile' last='High United'], Da'Naiya will bring the energy to carry them all the way through August.
