On defense she is a shot blocker with great timing and body control to get the block without the foul. Lyndlea had a strong performance in Texas during the first live period and did pick up several offers. She has watch I would call the Trifecta. Smooth outside shooter from the 3-point line needing little rooms to get it off. The same shot from the high post draws out the defender allowing her to score at the rim with at times a nice spin move. The third thing is how she moves without the ball. Always seemed to find herself on the back side waiting for the pass or cleaning up the missed shot. Aggressive on defense that reads the jump on the passing lane getting the steals for points off the turnovers. The footwork is very nice in the low post area. She does a great job of holding off the defense with her upper body but uses the lower body to keep the angle for the entry pass. A touch match-up for those teams that want to just play half front. The ability to go over either shoulder on the block makes her a tough post to just play behind her. Due to the double teams on defense, it is almost best at times to shoot the ball and let her go get the rebound. Double-Double player that does not barley get them it's an 18-point 18 rebound type game. As she is great defender of the next passing lane resulting in steals and points off turnovers. Runs the floor like a 3 filling the open lanes in transition. Seems to always be around the basket of offense for the dump pass or offensive putback. Nice form on the outside shot showing she can knock down that high post jumper. On defensive has quick feet to work around the larger post players to get the deflection or steal. Maggie has been involved in winning programs the last three years and knows what it takes to achieve that level of success. I really like watching her play when it is a 4-guard offense as she is a very skill guard when attacking the rim. She put together some big games this past season in helping her team reach the State Tournament Finals. Run the floor like a small forward and has great hands to catch those tough up the floor passes for layups. Impressive is the footwork in the post working for the shot before she even catches the ball. High filed goal percentage in the paint area. Showed the high post jumper in Arkansas that drew out the opposing post creating driving lanes. Hustles for rebounds on both ends of the court leads me to believe that she has recorded some double doubles during the season. Great size and scores in multiple ways.
