Jackson Summer League: Heat Advisory Hoopers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After a successful journey to the U.P., it was time for a trip south to Jackson College to watch their high school Summer league. 90-degree heat didn't stop these girls from grinding through the elements and putting on a show in the bubble! She put her shoulder through a defender's chest to score a strong and-one layup, then buried back-to-back triples. Mckynley fired a 3/4 court football pass to a sprinting teammate and used a fast double-crossover move to get downhill, then dished a kick-out assist to the perimeter. Her competitiveness and impact on both ends were clear. Lyla jumped a pass on the perimeter for a steal and finished the fast break layup. She changed hands quickly to get downhill and shoveled a pass for the assist. Lyla used a jab move in the corner, blew past her defender, and finished through contact in the paint to score the and-one. She worked hard to secure an offensive rebound and scored the put-back off two feet. Lyla changed directions rapidly, ran the floor hard in transition, and kept her hands active on defense. She pushed the ball hard in transition and battled to secure offensive rebounds. Ally faked dribble hand-offs in the corner, then beat her defender down the baseline to score multiple layups off two feet through contact. She buried a long wing jumper and added a crossover pull-up in the paint. Sadie drilled a corner three off the hop and cut backdoor to score a quick transfer layup through contact without the backboard. Sadie scored a drive-by veer layup against a contesting defender and a fake-pass layup off the dribble. She creates space with her handles and has a burst when she drives downhill. Her aggressive presence stood out on both ends of the court. Kara used her length to force missed shots and create steals on defense. She converted layups with both hands around the basket and knocked down perimeter jumpers.
