The summer AAU takes a little break in the month of June, giving players who chose out of state clubs a chance to come back home and play with local teams or to link up with their high school teams to show out together for a few tournaments. These are some exciting players to catch in June.

Watson took her talent to Las Vegas this AAU season, playing with the Las Vegas Elite/Team Hamby 16U for the majority of the summer. It is nice to see Hannah playing back in the state for June with the Wreaking Havoc. Watson scored MVP recognition this past weekend at the GTE Mountain West Summer Preview event, and it is easy to see why. She is a multi-level scorer. She has the ability to score in the paint with her back to the basket or short 10ft jumpers. Hannah can also play from the wing, getting points from strong drives to the basket or jumpers. She brings a great energy to the defensive end. She can get in a stance and defend smaller guards the full length of the court, meet post players at the block to battle for position and everything in between. Make sure that you get to the court to see Watson and Wreaking Havoc play before she goes back to Vegas.

This guard for RADP Prep is another one to keep your eye on during the month of June. This guard can get it done on both ends of the floor. On defense she is quick and aggressive. She can pressure dribblers from end to end, getting steals and traps for her team. Martinez can defend in the half court to get stops on shooters and even drop down into the paint to help. Justiss lets that defensive energy carry to the offensive end where she continues to do good things for the squad. From strong handles in the full court, to getting to the bucket all over the half court for points, Martinez can get it done. She can also hit jumpers, from the 2pt and 3pt range, making her a true threat. RADO Prep and Martinez should be on your list for June viewing.

The [program_tooltip program_id='994631' first='Southwest' last='Sting'] went through a bit of a shift in the earlier part of the summer season, but that didn't stop Nyree from taking care of business on the court. This PF is strong in all the right ways. As powerful player, she also has the smooth handles to help break full court pressure and keep the ball flowing on the offensive end. But it is on the wing where Smith thrives; earning MVP honors in the GTE Mountain West Summer Preview this past weekend behind strong drives to the basket and knock down three point shooting. On Defense, she continues to bring the power. She can guard post players in the paint to get stops and clean up the defensive boards. Nyree, is quick too, making her effective in traps and full court pressure. Catch the [program_tooltip program_id='994631' first='Southwest' last='Sting'] and Smith as they bond in June and dominate throughout the rest of the summer.

Baseman is definitely one of Colorado's under the radar ballers. This lefty is fun to watch. She is sneaky fast, she can outrun most players in the full court. This gets her great steals on the defensive end, and easy layups on the offensive. Speaking of offense, Ana can get points. She can get to the basket with strong dribbles and finishes, earning the extra at the free throw line many times. And Baseman isn't afraid to shoot the ball, she can hit mid-range and 3pt jumpers confidently. Ana is a problem on the defensive end. She has quick hands and feet and gets in the passing lanes for steals regularly. She also has the power to help get stops and boards in the paint. You can catch Baseman balling with the [program_tooltip program_id='994631' first='Southwest' last='Sting'] in June and the rest of this grassroots summer.

It is fun to watch players that love the game and Arakaki loves to play. You can see her passion in her hustle on the defensive end. She picks up full court, hassling dribblers and getting traps and steals all over the court. Her pressure in the half court is aggressive and keeps her [program_tooltip program_id='1227465' first='Hard2Guard' last='Girls'] squad tough. You will even catch Alexis in the paint getting steals and taking charges. Her passion carries over to her offensive game. She has great handles, she can take on defensive pressure and keep her team organized. She sees the court very well, finding her teammates in their scoring spots. Arakaki has her own scoring spots too. She slashes through the defense to get to the basket and hit open jumpers. She also has 3pt range, to make her a threat all over the court, on both ends. Make sure to check her out finishing her AAU summer with [program_tooltip program_id='1227465' first='Hard2Guard' last='Girls'].
