It was a day where champions were crowned and the bulk of the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit season came to a close. There were three other Circuit events that took place around the country – the Victory Region Finals in Chicago, the Dynasty Region Finals in Dallas and the Legacy Region Finals in Wisconsin.

The lone Circuit event remaining is the Battle In The Sunflower in Kansas which will occur following June's camp month.

Without further ado, here is who caught our attention among 16U teams on the second day of play.

Early Sunday, Holley was simply too much for [program_tooltip program_id='1219908' first='Britt' last='Basketball Academy'] 16U to handle. Now Elite 16U engineered a rout of its 2027 adversary with Holley putting together a 27-point performance. A standout from 7A Hewitt-Trussville, her playmaking ability goes beyond scoring. Holley displays her confidence by calling for the ball and knows when to score and when to pass. She also brings a heads-up attitude every minute she plays and this displays itself on both offense and defense. Holley is a backcourt stalwart who knows how to find driving lanes to the basket. She describes her defensive game as “scrappy” and thrives as a transition runner.

Now Elite 16U went unblemished for the first day of this year's Triumph Region Finals and it kept its winning ways going with an emphatic victory over [program_tooltip program_id='1219908' first='Britt' last='Basketball Academy'] 16U early Sunday. Shepard helped in that effort as she added nine points to her team's offensive barrage en route to a dominant 78-20 victory. She did the lion's share of her damage in the second half as six of her nine points occurred in the latter 16 minutes of play. While giving her team a formidable threat from distance, Shepard also displayed an ability to score at all three levels.

To say that Mol's [program_tooltip program_id='1219908' first='Britt' last='Basketball Academy'] 16U assembling had a tough go of things early Triumph Region Finals Sunday against Now Elite 16U would be an understatement. Teams that go through those tough spells have bright spots and Mol was certainly a bright spot as she put forth a valiant effort with nine points. All nine of her points occurred in the first half of play. In addition to what she can get accomplished as a scorer from either midrange or long-range, Mol also displayed an ability to corral her own rebound in case of a missed shot. As a standout of 5A Northgate, Mol did not have a long trek to get to this year's Triumph Region Finals.

Net Rippers 16U had a tall task on its hands in the early afternoon portion of the Sunday card matching up against OMG Academy 16U. Johnson still held her own, scoring __ points on what was otherwise a rough go of things against one of the tougher teams among the 2027 set. Johnson can handle the ball with either her right or left hand and can get creative with how she finishes at the rim from time to time. Initially, Johnson may get set offensively either in the corner or at the wing. She can be accurate with her long-range shot and has no problems drawing contact to get to the free throw line.

In one of OMG Academy 16U's final contests of the weekend, it routed Net Rippers 16U with the final score being a resounding 92-35. Such a lopsided score meant it gave a chance for its depth to shine through. Bass got some worthwhile minutes in the second half of that contest and did the most she could with that playing time. She displayed her fearlessness, showcased that she could still provide plenty of energy even in a game that was out of reach and is a proficient passer. Getting in position to grab rebounds is another plus to her skillset. Bass is a standout of a 6A Chelsea team that concluded the 2024-25 season with a record of 29-9 and she is a multi-sport athlete who also plays volleyball.
