The AAU season has about a month left, and I'd like to highlight a few kids around the state who have impressed me in games I've watched these last few months. I'll be out again next weekend before the live periods in July, and before then, we'll discuss some kids who've left an impression so far this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='917003' first='Yana-Aaliyah' last='Stevens']

The Janesville native has been impressive each time I've seen her play this season. Stevens consistently makes an impact on both ends of the floor. She's an athletic kid who can jump passing lanes and reads the game well on the defensive end. Her ability to make plays as an on-ball or off-ball defender makes her valuable to have on that end of the floor. Offensively, she's scored the ball well each time I've seen her play, and she always plays as hard as she can, no matter who she plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='533066' first='Audrey' last='Meudt']

The Waunakee guard is an intriguing player to follow. Meudt may be the best glue player I've seen around Wisconsin. Her ability to create while taking care of the ball gives her team the best chance of scoring whenever she's on the floor. Meudt was one of the best passers in Wisconsin last season, and she wasn't the unquestioned lead guard on her team, but she played that role in their half-court offense. Meudt was her team's leader on that end of the floor, and it helped her team reach the cusp of the state tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='751281' first='Rita' last='Kuepper']

The Hartford guard has always played well in the most prominent games I've seen her play. Kuepper has played well against EYBL teams the past few summers because she's comfortable creating off the dribble and making plays for herself. Kuepper had an excellent showing against Prime Nation a few weeks ago and helped her Playground Elite group win a game that most people may not have expected. Kuepper is an under-the-radar name that will excel at the next level as a creative presence in a backcourt.

[player_tooltip player_id='914989' first='Claudia' last='Jenny']

The Edgerton guard approaches each game the same way as she always does. Each time Jenny steps on the floor, she has an edge to her that is palpable when you watch her play. Jenny is an excellent leader who her teammates respond to well and is a scoring threat at all three levels. She's a skilled individual who will continue to improve due to her strong desire to be the best version of herself.
