Section 7 was filled with top talent from many different states. Coaches from all levels were busy tracking down talent as was I. You can tell she genuinely loves playing the game, and shes really good at it. Archer's height and length along with her elite IQ made her a nightmare to every opponent Shadow Hills faced. Against Mica Mountain Archer filled up the stat sheet with 14 points, 8 rebounds, 5 steals. She forced turnovers with her relentless pressure and hustle. Archer lead her team to a 4-0 record at Section 7 and she looks like the real deal. High ceiling for this one.

It's easy to look past Klodt up until the game starts. Then tip-off happens and it's hard to keep your eyes off her. Gifted dribbler with a quick first step to get by defenders. Sees the court very well and makes high level passes. Knocked down two college level 3 pointers. Defensively she was forcing the opposition to play uncomfortable. Pressuring and forcing turnovers, hustling and coming up with some big boards. Cedar Valley is in great hands for the next two years with Klodt leading the way.

Abrams was the difference maker for the Lions in the two games I watched. Very physical player. She was outsized by opponents but it seemed to just fuel Abrams to play harder. She found ways to out rebound her opponents and finished well in the paint. Made teams pay with her second chance points and shot 75% from the field. She averaged 14 ppg and 10.5 rebounds in the games I watched. A very intriguing prospect to keep an eye on.

Kollasch is entering her junior season and made a statement at Section 7 that she is ready to take on that leadership role for the Lancers. One of the more skilled players of the weekend. Great footwork in the post and was able to outplay opponents. Handles the ball well, strong passer and a gifted rebounder. A lengthy defender with high IQ that just impacted the game on a way that had some coaches buzzing on the sideline and I expect her stock to rise this season and by her senior season should find herself as one of if not the top prospects in Southern AZ.

Amaris is simply a player that can take over any game at any time and she proved just that at Section 7. I didn't see a player account for more rebounds than she did. She racked up a game high 16 rebounds. Strong defender with a high motor who made it extremely difficult for opponents to score inside. She made a strong case as one of the top forwards at the event. The senior will gain attention as shes too impactful of a player to ignore.

Yanez showed to good but also showed that she still has the room to be very good. She was absolutely dominant as she led the Blue Devils to a win over Chino HS. Yanez finished with 15 points, 10 rebounds, 5 steals and was 6/8 shooting. Finished very well at the basket through contact and finished a few 3 point plays at the free throw line. Has a nice mid range and knows how to use the glass to finish tough shots.
