The class of 2027 is definitely strong across the hoop state. These sophomores (or should I say juniors?) have been strong contenders already for their short high school careers, and they are continuing the dominance this summer. Let's take a look at some of the class of 2027 that stood out to me at the NCBCA Live Team Camp and should be tracked throughout the summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='690095' first='Shalyn' last='Bare'] was moving all over the paint flashing with her hands up looking for the entry pass. She can attack the basket herself from the free throw line, or she does well setting herself up to show off her footwork to get her points. She took matters into her own hands taking the ball herself, spacing out the floor, and barreling her way to the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='832253' first='Ashlyn' last='Black'] used her jab step to create some space knocking down the jumper and hitting her three point shot. She does well adjusting to the personnel on the court knowing when her team needs her to handle the ball or slide to the shooting guard position. She's versatile even handling herself for some tough contact on the block.

[player_tooltip player_id='832257' first='Ally' last='Smith'] was constantly grabbing steals picking the pocket of her opponents or sliding into the openings just in time to push it the other direction. She even slid down to the block grabbing steals. She makes perfect passes up the court hitting her teammates' hands in transition for some points.

[player_tooltip player_id='635063' first='Jaidiah' last='Blake'] is very versatile with how she can score attacking the gaps and making her own space. She can pull up off her own dribble and shoot elevating over her opponents or score off the pass. She does well going after the ball on defense grabbing rebounds and making it difficult for her opponents. Her toughness was on display even making a four point play. She does well guarding post players on the block making it difficult for them to use their moves and score.
